I fear it, the few chances we do get seem to be ruined by the weather.

Weather will ruin another 4 day game and any chance of a county win, unless they concoct a game up on day 4.

To only lose 5 wickets vs Birmingham yet lose by 25 runs shows that the top5 failed abysmally, even though we lost 3 early wickets Sarwan and Eckersley were too slow in pushing on leaving Wells Thornley and potentially Taylor no chance of getting the runs required.

This is spot on, Sarwan used up approx 6 overs for 30 something runs, not good enough from our overseas star batsman.

Why was batting tough?

Wow! Just finished the final series, amazing finale. Breaking Bad was a real slow burner for me having moved onto it after finishing the Sopranos, it took a while for me to get into it, but it grew on me and I ended up loving it. A fantastic series.

Competitive for 3 days then 1 awful session and we are facing a big defeat. The Hants tail got easy runs but our batters struggled. Back to last season.

Fantastic game of cricket, nearly 400 runs in total, loads of sixes and a great display by Lccc. North deserved a 100 as he really took it to us unlike Durston who's 28 off 29 balls was nowhere near good enough when chasing such a big score. Seems to be a great team unity down there and a good mix of youth and experience. And the 6 by styris to the top of the stand was massive!

Fargo on channel 4, great series, Billy Bob Thornton is superb.

Essex at the weekend will be a real test, perennial underachievers, expect a Bunsen with Monty in their side. If we come away undefeated from there it will definitely be a good result.

Those 40overs lost to the weather probably cost us the win. Things look good though, lots of positive contributions from most of the team.

Lost a whole day to rain on Sunday, would of been interesting if the game had been played over 4 days, Kent would not of declared when they did but we would have had longer to bowl them out. Promising signs though, lots of contributions throughout the team.
