They also just randomly stop without indicating so no one knows what they are about to do. I don't know what it is with them. Is it a requirement for a Wolverhampton licence to drive like an inconsiderate d1ck?
-
Think it applies only to smoke control zones. A quick google, Charnwood Borough doesn't have any. Oadby (specifically not the council area as a whole) is in one Leicester is one(?)

Any taxi drivers (ubers included) on here? Because I have two questions. Do you know how to drive? And if you incorrectly answer yes to the first question, why do you all have to drive like inconsiderate bell ends? Time and time again, taxi drivers being complete nuisances. Today, one (private car jobby) joins a 70mph dual carriageway at 30mph. That puts me, and another vehicle between me and the taxi in a potentially dangerous situation. Did they accelerate afterwards? Prob not, i easily overtook at 50, so prob doing about 40....

After 20 games played, do you think we are going down?

That squad was playing well, we just weren't getting results / being a bit unlucky. It only needed a couple of tweaks. I had confidence throughout that we wouldnt be relegated. This team has more talent and ability. Yet I have no confidence in our ability to stay up. This stems from the management. -
Are fiesta st's easy to nick? Been made aware of a couple being stolen locally.

I was only aware of the clean air zone due to the fact that am I employed by an organisation with offices in the Birmingham area. Other then that, would not have had a scooby doo.

This just shows his level of intelligence. It goes to court and it isn't libel, then he loses (significant costs) and is being deemed as an anti-semite. It goes to court, and it is libel, he still loses and pays significant costs. Why? Parliamentary Privilege. Hancock asked a question to the PM in Parliament. The tweet was reporting that fact.

Called it in July. Think we will go down next season unless Maddison misses the majority of the remaining games this season. A few pointers: -We are told (by BR) that we are looking at players - Then we are told there is no money - Then we are told the club is being "sustainable" (or words to that effect), need to sell players to bring more in - Yet is it sustainable to be losing £40m+ of assets this summer due to contracts running out. Unfortunately I think this could be a perfect storm which will result in me being correct. -Club/Tops skint -Club badly run -Rodgers If I was a player here right now, would I be motivated with all this sh1t? No. Would I sign a new contract? No. The dream is over. 😭

Awareness of surroundings/hazard awareness etc. Had a belter of one today. Lorry stopped my side of the road unloading. I have to force my way out due to the road/traffic conditions. Waited for gap in oncoming traffic to allow oncoming vehicle enough time to recognise the situation and slow down. If I was the oncoming vehicle, I would slow down to let vehicles out (common sense/courtesy when driving). Oncoming 4x4 decided to play chicken. I was having none of it. Cars behind me following me as well. Ended up with me squeezing through, 4x4 conintuing and having a stationary standoff with the vehicles behind me.

Roundabout. Queue for straight on (left lane). Right lane is right turn only and empty. Is a Lap of Honour acceptable?

That average figure is for travelled (passenger or driver). When they are driving is different. Also need to factor in age. For example with older drivers men are nearly double the number for women for serious accidents, but 700k more men drive then women and they drive nearly x4 as many miles on average.... The overall figures are irrlevant unless it is broken down to miles driven
-
Yeah but more men drive, and men do nearly twice as many miles driving then women? So on that basis the statistics wouldn't be too shocking if you include those factors.
-
Do you pay attention when driving? Those who tend to drive to a lower standard (contantly braking, going too slow etc etc) are female.about 90% of the time. I always have a good look. I will keep a score card over the next 6 months if you want.

A50/A46 junction. Car in front of me STOPS on a green light. Several seconds later it changes to red. They wait then they go through the red, just ahead of vehicles coming across them.
-
I suppose with the last part, factors about the vehicle come into play. - size (bigger/heavier) - size (not as compact, more space between driver/passenger and frame of car) - safety features, airbags, side impact etc etc
-
The old age issue is a big one for me. I've witnessed an old person going around a junction (roundabout) the wrong way, exiting towards oncoming traffic. The look on their face as they went past me, it was like confusion, that they didnt know what was happening or what they were doing. Edit: clairified it was a roundabout

I was going to say the same. My two gripes from today: 1) Saw a very old chap and a woman in a Waitrose car park earlier (830am). Car park is empty. She had to wave him into a space..... Will probably be the type of driver as quoted above. More importantly, if they no longer have the basic skills/ability to pass a driving test (parking between lines is surely one of them) then they are a danger to themselves and others on the road. 2) Joining M1 north at J21 coming from Fosse Park. Car joining the M1 at less then 40. Then once joined, was [very] slowly picking up speed to just about 60mph. WHAT ARE THEY DOING. They were going so slow that they could have accelrated as there was no one joining in front of them - they had all joined at the correct speed.
-
Yeah, London we know about as its in the news (surprise, surprise, the media is london centric). But Bristol? Birmingham? I knew of Sheff as there are signs when you drive up the M1 (courtesy of Stockport 0-0 in the league cup). Even though it doesn't apply to private cars. Full list is here. London, Birmingham, Bristol charge private cars. The others do not. Bath Birmingham Bradford Bristol Greater Manchester (under review) Portsmouth Sheffield (charging starts in early 2023) Tyneside - Newcastle and Gateshead (charging starts on 30 January 2023) Edit: Forgot to add the london ulez is expanding in August to all London boroughs.
-
I only know its existence because we have offices in Birm and have been told about it. If it wasnt for that, I probably wouldnt have known. There is soon to be one in Sheffield - although not for private cars.

Person on slipway to dual carriageway at 30mph. Downhill slipway so absolutely no excuses - and not a short one. Then merges with the dual carriageway between 35-40mph. Fcking idiots.

Kisnorbo McCauley What a pairing. Second best defence in the league the season we got relegated? Better then the top 4. Problem was with scoring goals.

Efes Mangal on Braunstone Gate is a good alternative if you wanted alcohol
