  1. Especially given it's Barca! Potentially it's because he won't get to the ball (i.e. cynical foul but not goalscoring opp)?
  2. Why has he done that lol? Could have been sent off, they probably score now, he wasn't going to get there anyway imo!
  3. They played my local pub recently (Skehans in London) in December, free entry!
  4. Unbelievable game so far.
  5. Completely agree on top part. Honestly, I think on the highlighted it's got to the point where Netanyahu is such an arsehole that it doesn't seem worthy of analysis anymore. Which I agree makes it go under the radar and perceived as more acceptable. I have a friend from Lebanon, and I think that whole theatre isn't being seen at all for what it is.
  6. Think this goes without saying these days!
  7. Great, thanks. Looking forward to seeing it. I also love long films so shouldn't be an issue!
  8. Thanks. I agree, I think it's a bit of a joke call. I don't think that alone is worth walking off for (agree with the point on blowing the whistle before it falls on VAR though). The ball boy thing was so farcical I don't even know how to comment on it. I'm not sure what Senegal could have done; the fact the penalty was saved and they won makes them not playing look a bit stupid though.
  9. Is Project Hail Mary good? I loved the book, so intrigued as to how they've done with the film.
  10. I assume this is largely due to public sector following industrial action? I live in London and although I am between jobs currently, I have been in reasonably well paid jobs before. It still equates to struggling to make ends meet with no hope of getting on the property ladder (I am in my mid 30s). I think the cost of living issue is so much deeper than looking at wage increases vs inflation in the last couple of years.
  11. I think people have got your point wrong, you are talking specifically about PMQs when you say you can't remember a PM this bad, right? In any case (and I strongly dislike Starmer), I disagree. PMQs is, and has been, a farce for as long as I can remember it. They all avoid questions; I think Johnson was far worse for blatant misinformation but he got away with it because people somehow thought he was a strong communicator (which is also a joke). The bigger point though, which I think is right, is that out PMs would be laughed at by any competent head of other states. I agree that this goes as far back as Cameron, who was a dickhead.
  12. I didnt watch at the time. Can someone summarise if the actual decisions in the game (including the disallowed goal and the penalty) were actually correct or not? I think its a difficult situation for a team if there is quite clearly an officiating bias which is making it borderline impossible to win. I remember playing in a youth rugby match where the referee coached the other team and was quite blatantly and without question cheating to the point it was absolutely impossible for us to win. We walked off then!
  13. Yes but needs to bring through some of our youth.
  14. Whoever called easy clean sheet i respect you hahaha
  15. I actually thought we were the better team yesterday but woeful decision making cost us both with their goal and with not having enough top chances of our own. Contrary to other posts I think we should stay up relatively comfortably. I know it feels a lot like previous relegations, but we would stay up if PPG was extrapolated to the end of the season, and we have key players coming back soon who under Rowett should push us on. I think Vestergaard is a major miss, Okoli's mistake yesterday was incredibly frustrating. But still, we were decent against (apparently) a good team in the league last night and should have pushed on. My biggest concern really is the lack of confidence in all areas of the pitch (mainly the back four and the attackers). I think a loss yesterday would have been a major issue on that basis. But if Rowett can get a bit of confidence into them and manage a couple of wins in the run in I think we stay up. Also, thought Winks was a cut above yesterday and if he is playing to try and find a new club for the rest of the season that really will help us out.
  16. This is too high brow for most of our fans. By all means do it too though
  17. Didn't it get on national media?
  18. I think everything in your comment is right but its so representative of what football has become. All focussed on absolute correctness of rule application and of what implications they have on other things. The push for 100% accuracy has really killed the game imo.
  19. Yeah I don't disagree - not sure if they could have come up with a better way of doing it!
  20. One of the main reasons its unpopular is it disproportionately impacts less well off people (e.g. people with old diesel cars who can't afford a new car but are reliant on driving for work), thus further entrenching inequalities.
  21. I agree with that, but I wonder if an open letter could get some endorsement that an anonymous survey couldn't, if it was backed by important people from the club's history. I think its a losing battle but we should be fighting against KP in any way we can.
  22. A monumental **** up. Surely they will sue for damages.
  23. Has anyone written or proposed an open letter of any description to the LCFC senior management/ownership? I think following Top's interviews (basically the fact he has no plans to sell and the fact he clearly has no idea what is going on or what the causes are), it would be a good approach to try and get something together and see how many people we can get to sign it?
  24. Well this is utterly depressing. Need to keep him first choice and try for a 12 month extension at the least (and not get relegated).
  25. I thought at time she was part of the problem. Realised my mistake pretty quickly - wish we still had someone competent, however much she was swimming against the tide.
