You've got to wonder why owners are allowed to get away with this sort of thing. Surely there has to be some sort of rule?

What's to stop them bleeding the club dry or even destroying it on purpose?

You'd think so. They may not be doing anything illegal by bleeding the club dry but it is grossly wrong. I suppose if there was a rule that the Football League could impose, then it would only hasten the decline. We've seen before that if a club is sold to one person and that person is hell bent on destroying it for whatever reason then what can you do?

It is a shame to see this famous old club dying.

They'll go down again, with four to go from League One I can't see four worse sides than them. They've won 7 in their last 77 league matches since November 2013.

Blackpool FC’s shirt sponsors today admitted they have made a mistake in signing up with the club after an angry backlash from fans.

Hotel group Village said it has been hit with complaints since announcing it was to be the Seasiders’ shirt sponsor for the 2015/16 season.

 

Now the company’s chief executive Gary Davis has met with Blackpool Supporters Trust and protest group Tangerine Knights where Village agreed to withdraw sponsorship of the club’s shirts at the end of the season.

Can see the owners doing one, and Blackpool desperate for cash and being on the verge of collapse altogether - unfortunately.
