Wymsey Posted 14 July 2015 Posted 14 July 2015 Can't be any more silly/stupid/odd/self-centered owners than the Oystons...
Kitchandro Posted 14 July 2015 Posted 14 July 2015 http://www.blackpoolfc.co.uk/news/article/club-statement-2547066.aspx Well hooray for Karl then....
Wymsey Posted 14 July 2015 Posted 14 July 2015 This is a big example why fan-owned clubs should be the future. Do not think for a second these guys (can't say surname, in case they are looking ) are taking the fan's feelings to heart.
ozleicester Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 http://www.blackpoolfc.co.uk/news/article/club-statement-2547066.aspx Dislike what the owners have done to the club, but that court case seems pretty clear that the fan has lied and been caught out. It is also an interesting note for everyone who posts on the internet!
Steven Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 The Oystons are still cvnts, a discredit to Football, to Club owners in general and with a rapist in their midst. Difficult for them to argue against that in Court.
Wymsey Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 Try and not say much about them negatively, they could easily search for their names and this thread appears... You never know, Karl may set up an account on here and tell you off (which he did, apparently, on their forum).
BoyJones Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 The trouble is the owners deserve plenty of negative comments overseeing two relegations and also making their team an easy target for redicule at the beginning of last season, when they didn't have enough players signed on. Can see Blackpool doing a Tranmere, which would be a shame for their true supporters. Was always a good away day / weekend in years gone by, but can't see me going there again, if ever.
MC Prussian Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 This could easily be a question for Who Wants To Be A Millionaire in the near future: Which English football club owner once publicly brought a shotgun to the ground?
Voll Blau Posted 15 July 2015 Posted 15 July 2015 Morecambe have now cancelled their friendly against Blackpool over fears there'll be a pitch invasion, and policing costs would be too much.
Leeds Fox Posted 16 July 2015 Posted 16 July 2015 I wonder if bookmakers will stop opening books on the Blackpool games? Seen as the games are likely not to reach full-time.
jammie82uk Posted 16 August 2015 Posted 16 August 2015 Blackpool are now abusing fans from official accounts now https://twitter.com/commercialbfc/status/632696215134695424
Corky Posted 16 August 2015 Posted 16 August 2015 They'll go down again, with four to go from League One I can't see four worse sides than them. They've won 7 in their last 77 league matches since November 2013.
Carl the Llama Posted 16 August 2015 Posted 16 August 2015 Blackpool are now abusing fans from official accounts now https://twitter.com/commercialbfc/status/632696215134695424 Tweet's already been scrubbed, what did it say?
Carl the Llama Posted 16 August 2015 Posted 16 August 2015 In fact the whole account's been deleted What's Oyston been up to now?

Asha Posted 16 August 2015 Posted 16 August 2015 You gotta feel sorry for Blackpool fans. Owners don't give a shit. Garbage squad. Outclassed by Northampton and Rochdale in the same week. They're heading straight for non-league in 2017 aren't they?
stripeyfox Posted 17 August 2015 Posted 17 August 2015 You gotta feel sorry for Blackpool fans. Owners don't give a shit. Garbage squad. Outclassed by Northampton and Rochdale in the same week. They're heading straight for non-league in 2017 aren't they? It really is a sorry state of affairs. It makes you wonder what the end game is for the owners. I can only assume they are letting the club die so they can sell the ground? Apparently the owner paid himself £27M out of Blackpool's Premiership money. It is scandalous really that this can be allowed to happen. In the meantime Blackpool fans are falling out with themselves over whether to attend games or not. Reminds me a lot of the Brighton situation in the 1990's when the owner sold the Goldstone Ground to his own company so he could build a DIY store on it.
Voll Blau Posted 17 August 2015 Posted 17 August 2015 They've also put netting over the first few rows of the home ends only to prevent pitch invasions.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 17 August 2015 Posted 17 August 2015 It's like the Mike Bassett television series
J.Lisemore Posted 17 August 2015 Posted 17 August 2015 You do wonder how long they can keep this up for. Not sure on the odds of relegation to League Two but they must be dreadful.

You've got to wonder why owners are allowed to get away with this sort of thing. Surely there has to be some sort of rule? What's to stop them bleeding the club dry or even destroying it on purpose?
