The Year Of The Fox Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Sorry but that's an absolutely stupid comment. They were already relegated, no win in that match would have done anything positive for them in the scheme of things. It's all very well saying protest outside of that but why would the owner listen to that? To get noticed, at the very least you need to protest inside the ground, and in truth, boycotting is the only real way to hurt the owners. They've been certainties to go down all season, the owner and chairman gave them absolutely no chance of staying up. They finished not only 21 points behind 4th bottom, but 14 behind the team 2nd bottom. I think that's all you need to know - no amount of support would have kept them up, they barely had a team when the season started. Oyston and his family are absolutely despicable, and I include his little shit face kids of his in that as well. I remember how they literally took the piss out of the fans last season after the tennis ball incident, they care nothing about how miserable they're making that fanbase. And I don't even like Blackpool fans. The protesting in other games was done before being mathematically relegated. Oyston is clearly a knob and the proof is there for all to see in the directors box yesterday. Clearly protesting on the pitch isn't ever going to sway him though. It'll be interesting to see how they do next season
Guest Bilo Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 You have to be a complete sociopath to enjoy ruining so many peoples' lives. Unbelievable man. This is a man who paid his rapist father (raped a 16 year old girl 20 years ago) £11m a year while they were in the Prem, he's not only an awful owner but a fvcking awful human being.
Guest Bilo Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 The Doctor's right - what Holloway achieved under that rabble of shysters was nothing short of miraculous. He was abysmal for us and Millwall, but brilliant for Blackpool and, in the Championship at least, class for Palace.
Tuna Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Blackpool fans may as well pack up and support Fleetwood. Boycott the games.
J.Lisemore Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 Was all too predictable what would happen yesterday and am very surprised there wasn't more of a police presence. You only had to read the Blackpool forum to know how angry and frustrated people are. The Oyston's have had this coming for months.

No chance of that, it would probably cost Oyston more than the fine he's most likely to get from the F.A, although that fine will no doubt be paid from all the fans he's currently suing for 20k a piece.

True. I was reading that the Oyston's had met with the 67 year old the fan and it looks like they've pulled the wool over his eyes. The supporters understandably are raising the money for him.
Jordan Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 I'd write something about the Blackpool situation, but I don't want Mr Oyston to read it and sue me.
SystonFox Posted 3 May 2015 Posted 3 May 2015 It's all Holloways fault. Anyone who can't see that is trolling and doesn't know anything about football. Holloway is a joke
ozleicester Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 Fvckin pissant society we are developing into... The fans are sick and tired of the owners acting like complete twats, theyve tried frindly protests, tennis balls, singing songs, holding signs. These fvckers continue to just take the piss, so good luck to those that invaded, theyve done no harm, theyve brought worldwide attention to their concerns and just maybe theyve fvcked off the owners enough to make them want to leave. people been sitting around whining on radio shows and internet forums about things they are unhappy with... get up off your arse, get into the streets and onto the grounds and say it loud and clear. Stand up... fight back!
MPH Posted 4 May 2015 Posted 4 May 2015 What next for them after yesterday's debacle? They'll probably start off next season with a 20 points deduction. 'Hollowords' certainly left his mark!! Holloway was probably the best thing to happen to that club in the past 20 years... Kept them punching above their weight...
RowlattsFox Posted 11 July 2015 Posted 11 July 2015 Another pitch invasion today at Lancaster and it's been abandoned after 75 mins.
Steven Posted 11 July 2015 Posted 11 July 2015 It's not really helping though is it? About as much as the owners are.
Bert Posted 11 July 2015 Posted 11 July 2015 One season in the prem and these lot think they're the dogs. Glad they're back where they belong.
Wymsey Posted 11 July 2015 Posted 11 July 2015 Can see Hull fans having more of a tough time now, if Assam sells (probably very likely) after having a proposed club name change has been blocked.
Jordan Posted 11 July 2015 Posted 11 July 2015 One season in the prem and these lot think they're the dogs. Glad they're back where they belong.Do they, or do they just have a legitimate gripe with the way the Oystons?
Voll Blau Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 One season in the prem and these lot think they're the dogs. Glad they're back where they belong. Hardly down to that though is it. The club is being completely mismanaged. They'd be taking action whatever division they'd been in. I used to live down the road from their training ground, and you get better facilities in third world countries. There's no investment in the playing side of the club at all. N.B. A reminder to anyone thinking of posting anything libelous about the Oystons, they actually sued a fan on a Blackpool messageboard who did just that!
The Horse's Mouth Posted 12 July 2015 Posted 12 July 2015 One season in the prem and these lot think they're the dogs. Glad they're back where they belong. what an idiotic comment
purpleronnie Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 I'd hope if they got their wish the fans would organise and try and take control of the club themselves, let's face it just getting rid of the owner doesn't mean the next one will be any better.

Blackpool Supporters Trust offered £23m to buy the club last week. http://www.blackpoolgazette.co.uk/sport/blackpool-fc/fans-reveal-23m-pool-takeover-plans-1-7345024

MC Prussian Posted 13 July 2015 Posted 13 July 2015 How long can the Oystons hold out without accepting any potential takeover bids? One would think they'd simply increase the asking price in increments whenever a new offer's been made. Not a big fan of Blackpool FC, but the fans do deserve better.
