My End of Season Awards

Recommended Posts

Posted

At the close of my 48th (and one of the more remarkable) season following The Mighty Foxes I thought it was about time to introduce my very own end of season awards. I have booked the Athena for next Saturday and will be summoning all winners henceforth to come gather and celebrate their success, or not. So here they are:

LCFC categories

Player of the Season (plus award for best ever overseas player to have graced an LCFC shirt): Esteban Cambiasso

Goal of the season: Jamie Vardy (vs Man Utd)

Game of the season: Leicester 5 Man Utd 3

Best chant: (joint award) “He left cos you’re shit, Alan Pardew he left cos you’re shit.” “England, England, England’s number nine” (referring of course to Jamie Vardy smile emoticon

The Nigel Pearson Award for Best Antics on the Touchline Award goes to Nigel Pearson for his comic ‘rough and tumble’ with James MCarthur

The King Power Award for Generosity Beyond Belief Award goes to King Power for their free beer giveaway vs QPR (even though I couldn’t bag one because the queues were too long)

The Award for Decisions Made in Haste and Rescinded Even Faster Award goes to Aiyawatt (Top) Srivaddhanaprabha for his “He’s sacked, oh no he’s not” (allegedly) moment.

Non-LCFC Categories

Best team to grace the King Power: (seriously) Shrewsbury Town

Best away goal: Di Maria (Man Utd in 3-5 defeat)

Best away fans: Sunderland

The You're Just a Bus Stop in Tranmere Award (given to clubs and their fans who think they have a divine right to be great award): Liverpool FC

The Award for the most important contribution to the National Assisted Dying Campaign goes to Newcastle Utd

The Newcastle Utd Whining Fans Award goes to Newcastle Utd fans (moan, moan, moan, moan, moan…)

The We’re Not Really Here Award goes to, of course, AFC Bournemouth

The You’re Worth Every Penny What Would We Do Without You Award goes to Mario Ballotelli

2 awards? If this doesn't prove John Carver is the best coach in the league I don't know what does.
