bit of help please.... if I buy a box with jelly bean firmware, will it auto update to kitkat? I'm guessing no but thought I'd ask..thanks

Mine is still on kitkat, no update available.

Uninstalled Kodi 14.2 and installed 15.2.

Put all Genisis, Phoenix, sports devil etc back on but non of the links within the addon are working, any ideas?

Seems like my Ethernet connection/cable is crap.

Wifi is fine.

Maybe a daft question, but did you definitely select the ethernet option and made sure it connected. I've done it before and thought my box was broken lol Edited by Larry_LCFC

Yeah definitely,

When I got in everything was working then all of a sudden nothing would work and it seemed like the Internet was down but my phone on the wifi was working so I switched my box to wifi and every addon worked again.

It was a cheap cable off eBay so maybe it's just not connecting right.

I've updated Kodi to 15.2. Re added on my stuff but now some of the stream links just say 'opening stream' but then nothing happens. It's like it fails to launch.

My mates is working fine.

Is there a settings option that could be preventing it from opening a stream or something ?

Or do I need a certain programme add on to launch certain streams?

Pretty much a novice at this right now.

Which addons are guilty, have you checked through your playback settings to check you aren't using an external player or something?

Just had a quick look at playback settings and couldn't see external player mentioned anywhere.

Just tested it. Most of Dexter is working for me.

Sky sports news don't seem to work that well for me.

Probably my only gripe really.

Have to say how pleased I am with Mbox. The quality of the streams and choice of channels is immense. Best money ive spent in a while. Get what you pay for at the end of the day. Cant wait to see the Leicester game on NBC on Saturday (presuming its on there).

Looks like zeus is back again. The sports channels aren't that reliable, unless you pay, but the other channels seem to work well.

i've got The Beast but none of my Genesis links work,any ideas mate?

I don't really use Genesis tbh mate. If it's films you're struggling with, my setup has a movie folder with all the movie programs, can't remember which one I use, but every film I've watched has been great quality.

For sports I use the obvious choices, either SportsDevil or Pheonix.

For porn, hands down it has to be Whitecream.

You ever thought about clearing it and re-installing it?

A few months ago mine was playing up. Kept on crashing and some stuff just didn't work. In the end I went onto YouTube and found a step by step vid explaining the install. Cleared it and re-installed it and since then I've had no problems.

Sky cut our broadband off last night because we're moving to that new Virgin Media, only problem is Virgin aren't installing until next Tuesday meaning I'm ****ed when it comes to using Kodi. Annoying
