Grown distant from football?

I have to admit the incredible highs (and lows) we experienced under Pearson has been truely enthralling to watch and I do feel a little underwhelmed by Ranieri. Just seems like we are like every other club now whereas under NP we had our own identity and a vision.

I'm not anti Ranieri by any means and by the time the Sunderland game gets here I'll be buzzing. We need to do some business in the meantime

This sums up how I feel pretty well. I still love football. I love the days out, going to different places, different boozers, meeting up with your mates and the atmosphere at the games.

In terms of LCFC specifically, Pearson built up a team which gave everything for the club and I grew to love, particularly during the 2013/14 season. We may have some better players now and of course, alot of the squad is actually the same as what we had then. But there was something about the team that season, the mentality, the togetherness, the likes of Anthony Knockeart and Lloyd Dyer and the attachment they seemed to have with the club. I don't think the club is going to have the same feel about it for a while now.

I can imagine how it was for most fans watching the MoN teams in the 90's, before then seeing us with the teams we had during the 2000's. I'm not just talking about the difference in quality and I'm also not saying that we're going to go down and that things will be as bad as they were during those years. The MoN teams would've had the same sort of togetherness and genuinely seemed to care about the club. The club overall would've had a different feel to what we had afterwards. I thought that we were really building a long term project with Pearson in charge and I don't want us to lose the same mentality and belief that's basically defined this club for me during the last couple of years.

As much as I love Leicester, I fear that it just won't be the same. But then again, it is the summer and the season hasn't actually started yet so I don't know. One person I hope we keep for as long as possible is Andy King. The ultimate professional and he gives absolutely everything for this club. Absolutely love having that guy at Leicester.

Kinda falling out of love with 'Modern' football as Im getting older......

I dont like all the overseas ownership of our Football clubs, talk of projects, brands etc etc .... even coloured football boots anoy me these days...

I did still like the fact that we had an English manager that had taken us to the PL and was pretty much old school....But then that went down the toilet ( basically the owners couldnt manage him ) and we then go for 'Big Name' - 'One of the worlds elite managers' -  He has a vowel at the end of his name so he must be good....

Ahhhh...Im going back to my 1970's Match of the day videos.....

God bless Filbert Street ... I really cant bear to say it and cringe like hell when I hear the 'KP Stadium'  or the 'King Power' 'Down at the KP' ..... like razor blades in my ears.....

First and foremost I am a Nigel Pearson fan so of course the last few weeks have been tough for me. I still kind of like football and Leicester but I am not that bothered if we do well or not anymore.

I pretty much stopped watching or taking an interest in City from 2003-2008 and this is the most underwhelmed I've felt before the start of a season for some time.

Nice to have you back pal, good holiday?
