freund Posted 10 September 2005 Posted 10 September 2005 Posting ambiguous sequences of emoticons. Evidence Sample 1: in fact 1 - 2 Leeds v Brighton For unfortunate victims, such as myself, I find myself confused by this sort of behaviour. I am not sure whether to read across, as one would a normal sentence. In instance one, the accused seems to go through a variety of different emotions, after hearing that Brighton are beating Leeds. He is 'unsure' then 'huh', proceeds to 'blink', then becomes a ninja or some shit, is then 'unsure', 'winks', raises a thumb and then lols. I mean, wtf? If this is not the case, we can only assume the accused has some form of schizophrenia. We should therefore ban him from the board, and install him inside a mental institute as quickly as possible, before he seriously damages someone, for instance by putting the 'angry' emoticon next to the 'wub' emoticon, which, rather than meaning tough love, means something completely different, and sinister. If Steven is found to be mentaly stable, I recommend putting a board cap of only two emoticons per post, this is more than adequate, and can still be abused, however. How does the jury hear?

cisono Posted 10 September 2005 Posted 10 September 2005 Sounds a bit like an essay to me (and much more analysis there than I have ever attempted in my posts. I hope my "philosophical stance" - which you hate so much - is not rubbing off on you! )

Rincewind Posted 12 September 2005 Posted 12 September 2005 Emotions are OK if used in context with the post. Once upon a time there were two City fans Steven <_< and Freund Every week they used to meet their friends Htesh cisuno and lisa at the walkers to watch their team. When the team won they were and when they lost they were sad They shouted at the ref and waved their hands in the air  After the game they met in the pub for a or two Then they went home and lived happily ever after. The end I had to cut the emotions down cos I put too many in the post.
