Was ill following a heart attack only a week ago.

Very sad news. Apparently he didn't drink alcohol and was fit as a fiddle. 47 is no age and I'm not far off that - which makes you think.....

Excellent keeper in that great Newcastle team of the mid 90s, remember he came back and played a few games for them at the end of his career.
