Passed first time in the car

Took me four goes to bet my motorbike licence. First three I was just too young I think.

Booking in for my test now, just the maneuvers that I struggle with, seriously though when do you ever need to reverse around a corner?

It shows you can control the vehicle at low speed in a tight situation (you have to be close to the kerb too far or hit it and you fail) so it's a transferable skill for all sorts of situations

I once ****ed that up in a rental car on my own down a tiny backroad in rural Sweden when my phone battery was dead and the back wheels went onto what I thought was the roadside but was actually a snowdrift and sank in. Had to wait like 10 minutes for some people to drive by, they stopped and helped me push it back onto the road.

My first instructor was well bad.

It was a bloke called Ian from Coalville (should've sensed the warning signs instantly). He was shit at teaching me to drive but the worst part was he'd say things like "got a well fit bird after you, 17 tight arse" I was like ok pal sounds good.

Then I heard stories that he would touch girls on the legs etc, and over the course of a few lessons I could tell this was true.

Anyway after a few weeks I was going ok in terms of driving, one lesson I was about to get out of the car and the bloke put his hand on my knee!

I was like erm nope this ain't happening so got out the car.

Now he ain't allowed to teach people how to drive and he drives a taxi round Coalville. Always see him at morrisons on a Sunday.

Moral of the story - swerve men called Ian.

Something must have tickled his fancy ...    Are you sure it was the gear stick you had been holding when you changed gear ?
