Life at Filbert St. wasn't always great.

Just seen on EM News a statue and landscaping to mark the site of the old Baseball Ground in Derby. Pretty sad that nothing exists to mark our beloved Filbo other than a few disused shopping trolleys :(

Quite a few old grounds have something there still, doesn't Roker Park still mark the centre spot, and Maine Road has something as well?

I'm afraid that's pretty much the shite-hole that is central Leicester. To think of all the great times I had at Filbert St to be gone and replaced with an ugly block of flats and a bit of wasteland.....

It's sad that student accomodation/new University buildings are spoiling parts of the city like this.

The flats in that picture look pretty inconvenient for the location it's in.

Think it's quite daft, and has spoilt the area a bit sadly.

Love the surges in the crowd when we score at the Kop end!

Bet no one moaned about that

Was in the swan and rushes that night, no tickets obviously as it was pay on turnstiles, police came in at 6:45pm ish and said I suggest if you going to the game you leave for filbert street now, we laughed but had to do some serious que jumping to get pen 2 that night.

Loved filbert street
