I suppose this means all the die-hard plastic fans will be turning off the M1 early instead of carrying on up the M69, M6 to Manchester.....it'll save 'em a few quid.....time to make the KP Stadium a 75,000 seater :scarf:

I get this, I really do. However....the truth with me is I have been going about 5 years when my lad turned 5 and said he wanted to go and watch Leicester instead of the non league team I watched. We went about 5 times the first year...increased to 8 second year etc...have had season ticket for last 2 years. Feel incredibly lucky that we are watching this side. My lad refers to them as "we".... I still try to say " they", I don't feel I can class me as "we" yet...but when is that point? I didn't grow up with the club but my boy has, and I love the passion he has for the club....and I feel part of that because he does. I read this forum a lot, but this is the first time I have posted....mainly because I never felt like I was part of the club....hopefully soon!

I've seen lots of posts recently about plastic fans. I'll put my hands up and say that I supported Arsenal until I was 18 as they were my dad's team and that was how I grew up. This was despite living in Leicester. I never went to an Arsenal game, but went to about 5 Leicester games a season.I realised the error of my ways when I went to uni 12 years ago - everyone supported a big team. I'm proud of where I'm from, and so I made the switch to Leicester. I've been to about 100 games since then, including some league one games.

Does this make me a plastic fan? I did support Arsenal when I was younger, but am never changing back. Leicester is my city and my club. If I could go back,I'd have made my dad buy me a Leicester shirt when I was 5 instead of an Arsenal one!

Unfortunately for you (and us), you won't know if it's genuine until we're conceding a last minute equaliser at Hartlepool and you're still there the following week.

Ironic your first post is the day we could win the title.

Welcome back, if you don't support your home town club and follow a big team then you can never understand what winning a title feels like. At Arsenal you'll just be an outsider looking in with no community spirit to celebrate it with. You know supporting your local team makes sense and all those glory boys from Leicester who support teams not relevant to them have really missed out this season and I don't care how many trophies their team of choice win they'll never experience anything like this.
