Hack Posted 20 March 2016 Posted 20 March 2016 So with 8 points clear of Spurs and 7 games to go for us, I rbelieve another 12 points from the 21 available should be enough, putting us 20 points clear. Does anyone really think Spurs will go almost undefeated to get 21 of their possible 24. That is the real situation. I for one see nothing to suggest we can't have this wrapped up with 2 games to go.

We have 7 games left.. and we have 66 points, so if we get 12 more points (4 wins and 3 loses) then we will take the title. we can lose 3 games and win 4 and we will still win the title in my opinion. Spurs will not make 78, and I think Bournemouth will get a good result against them, maybe a draw. Spurs still have a lot of very hard matches to play. They look tired, their last few games they have looked exhausted, against Dortmund they were exhausted after 50 minutes. They have played too many games.
Benguin Posted 20 March 2016 Posted 20 March 2016 Not going to discount Man City and Arsenal as they could in theory pick up. Man City's max is 78, Arsenal's is 79, Spur's is 82. Therefore we need no mere than 13, 14 and 17 points respectively. Man city will drop at least 7 having a few difficult games such as tomorrow, Chelsea, Arsenal and Southampton. So being generous they'll finish with 71 points. Arsenal are bottlers and have a few tough games. I can see them picking up 16-18 out of 24 max and being generous finishing with 73 points. Spurs on the other hand will do well. They are in good form and have a great squad. They have a few toughies though so can see them dropping around 6 points at best therefore finishing on 76 points. We need 11 more points imo. Sunderland, Swansea and oe of West ham or Everton as wins. And then a win or two draws from either west ham and Everton and then Southampton, Chelsea, United. I think we will do it after today!

Obviously that'd be great but I really want us to win it at home to Everton. West Brom at home was my last game and Everton is my next (being in Scotland) so really want to see it happen in person! fingers crossed we go into that match needing either or point or spurs dropping points to win it and then Vardy scores a hatrick!

I honestly think it a race in 2, us and Spurs, we are to far ahead in real terms from Arsenal and man City who are playing for CL spots now. If Spurs don't get a result against the Cherries then I think it is almost done already. Everyone chasing us are under a great deal of pressure to get the points, we on the other hand have them. All will lose points in the run in. Spurs game tonight is critical for them not to lose more ground on us.
WesMorganGod Posted 20 March 2016 Posted 20 March 2016 This is just a personal thing.. but I am desperate for us to win the title at the Everton game, because I can only get to home games, can't get to away games, it would be amazing if we could have the title for the Everton home match. that would be my ideal ending, not Chelsea away.

I really don't think it will come down to the Chelsea game, maybe even the game before Everton.

This is how I've seen things and thats even being conversative when it comes to our results (draws against Sunderland, West Ham, Man U, Everton and defeat to Chelsea). We will the title at home to Everton. The relegation battle though
