Books about Leicester City

Of Fossils and Foxes is the definitive one. If you're anywhere near Leicester, that's £4.99 in HMV at the moment (the 2010 edition).

I've also got one called The Essential History of Leicester City which I've never seen mentioned, but it's really good.

The Foxes Alphabet is also good - lists everyone who played for us up to 1995 when it was published. It's by the same guys who wrote Of Fossils and Foxes, Paul Taylor and Dave Smith.

Unfortunately I am not in Great Britain. I need buy with delivery to Poland.

I see offer on Amazon:

You wrote £4.99 so  £35 is too much :/

Is there any word on whether or not we'll get a new Of Fossils and Foxes? Seems unlikely that they'd not want to chronicle a league title winning season.

Hello.

I'm looking for books about Leicester City. For example about history. Which would you recommend?

'Starting a Wave' by Brian Little and 'We Love you Leicester!' by Chris Lymm.

Dave is my dad. He and Paul tend to update Fossils every 10 years or so (3 editions so far) so we are just past mid-cycle at the moment. Their previous publisher went bust in the last recession too so they also need to find a new one!

In short, no plans for an immediate update but the next edition when it comes out will have some epic stories to tell from the past few seasons, plus some tales from the champions league... Not to mention the ongoing research that goes into the ever expanding history and players sections!

Thanks for that, just been down to get one. Can't complain for £4.99

This is a wonderful oral history, about the community in which the club developed:

It's a magnificent cover photo. You can see the roof of the Double Decker, and the cooling towers just to the right of that are about at the current away coaches' drop off point.

I was so glad the club didn't relocate to some spot by the motorway. It's great to approach the ground on match days through those old steets filled with so much history (and I'm not just refering to innocent bystanders getting slashed by Chelsea fans).

Hi. Any idea if this is a limited-time offer. I won't be over until the Everton game.

No - there were tons there when I was back 6 weeks ago. I'd phone to reserve one though if they allow you to do that.

Plenty in the shop at the minute. You should be fine to get one. May be worth ringing though & asking if they can reserve one like Kushiro said, they might, they might not.
