if he did go to a club like barca, realistically how much more is he going to be taking home once tax is factored in. If its just to say "I played for Barca", lets loan him out for a month so he can say that and then he returns to be a fox for life and be adored by a whole city.

be honest - he could earn double that at a Yanited, Chelsea or citeh if they want him. Arsenal would pay him 100/125. It's his job. Over four years he would be turning down a lot of dosh. it's ok saying 'give us another year' but what if he broke his leg or did his ACL in October? Because of where he's come from we have a chance he will stay. If his agent gets into him too much then he could go. He says he wants to stay and it's up to the club to offer him a deal that makes that happen. I don't think a flat 75k will be enough though. We never find out the one off payments which skew the overall deal though.
