boots60 Posted 30 July 2016 Posted 30 July 2016 World cup win Beatles, Kinks, Who, all in the top 20 Anyone who wanted to work, worked. Stable country ran by a stable government & a lesser known fact - On the last day of the 65-66 season we beat West Ham 2-1 which technically, straw clutching, made us world champions!
Izzy Posted 30 July 2016 Posted 30 July 2016 I heard this'll be the last time the remaining members of the '66 team will get together and commemorate winning the World Cup. Many of the team are now in ill health and some suffering from dementia which is sad. They've all been heroes, national treasures and great ambassadors for our game IMO.
