Looking at yesterday's team selection, do you think too many changes too soon. New players need to grow into a team, not look like a bunch of individuals. Ffs get a grip, man! One game, and you spout rubbish. Knee-jerk nonsense.

But you also have to tinker the squad every season. Sir Alex always did. I just think we should have signed a top top defender. Huth and Morgan getting on, champions league, let's go and get one of the top defenders. But nah, he gave Morgan a new contract until he's 35 and signed a sporting gijon defender on a free transfer. Strangely i agree with that. Without Kante he needed to tinker with the personnel and the formation in preseason far more then he has. Now the season has started and we haven't got a clue what the best formation and combinations in midfield are. Also last season when Huth was injured, Was came in without any significant differance in performance. Claudio made an error with Hernandez, Hull are a Championship team playing agressive championship football with some huge players. Hernandez and to a certain extent Morgan got out muscled. Can anybody imagine Was getting out muscled by anybody plus he was our best defender in preseason.
foxychik Posted 15 August 2016 Posted 15 August 2016 Forget Kante (and cambiasso for that matter) the great escape and the great start to last season were down to two players being played in the team that were missing on Saturday - Huth and Albrighton, they changed the game for us - they might not get the plaudits but Huth & Wes in defence are rock solid and Albrighton makes 442 work by being a proper winger and puts sublime crosses into the box for the strikers - they'll both be back Saturday and it'll be ok
Vardinhio Posted 15 August 2016 Posted 15 August 2016 Bit of a joke that he just threw on all the strikers he had. We will not win like that we need intelligent ball players that can find them. Albrighton must start next game and Hernandez should be dropped.

You can't judge him from a couple of games.
Tielemans63 Posted 16 August 2016 Posted 16 August 2016 It's clear CR got it a bit wrong on Saturday but that's all it was, a mistake. We've just got so used to him nailing it week in, week out so all this talk of him 'dismantling' the side is ludicrous. We've lost a vital, arguably irreplaceable part of the team so it may take him a week or two to find a new system. That said, I hope he realises very soon that Kingy and Drinkwater in a midfield two is never going to work.
