Has the Tinkerman returned

Looking at the team we had last year, No stars just good honest 100% team players has Claudio decided to dismantle the team. Looking at yesterday's team selection, do you think too many changes too soon. New players need to grow into a team, not look like a bunch of individuals.

Hmm, Same formation, 2 unforced changes Musa / Shinji & Gray / Albrighton

Musa was arguably one of the top two players on the pitch.

I'm sure all manner of things came into his decision not least fitness, the opposition (maybe under estimated them) but we lost because so many of the regulars Morgan, Vardy, Mahrez etc majorly under performed.

I personally don't think he has tinkered enough. Yes we won the league, absolutely amazing. Astonishing. But you also have to tinker the squad every season. Sir Alex always did. I just think we should have signed a top top defender. Huth and Morgan getting on, champions league, let's go and get one of the top defenders. But nah, he gave Morgan a new contract until he's 35 and signed a sporting gijon defender on a free transfer.

Yeah it was just underperformance carrying to many passengers

Morgan looked like how he did when partnered with Moore

Hernandez although looking calm and steady preseason looked like he was playing with his boot laces tied together

Unfortunately King was anonymous once again

Vardy just isn't fit enough yet

Mahrez looked like he would rather be anywhere but on the football pitch

For someone so sure of Leicester beating Hull and advising people to put there mortgage on us winning, you seem very calm about things!

probably realises there are 37 games left of the season and doesn't need to panic.

Unlike some...

This thread has completely lost me, we set up pretty much like we did last season... Huth wasn't available though and most after the pre season we had wanted to see Musa and Vardy together. Mendy wasn't available either so King is the natural selection in midfield. I saw nothing wrong with the team played but a lack of match fitness was evident throughout.

Yes. I had mentioned it another post, but pre season seems to have f***** us up. Last year, it looked like we had a plan, 45 mins, then 60 mins, then 90 mins. This year, get as many people on as possible, because the squad is bigger and fly all over the place. It's new for a lot of these players, so you could say they need time to adjust, but doubt we will be invited back to the ICC and we probably won't be playing in Europe, so it'll back to a proper preseason of Mansfield and Rotherham!

He did change too much too soon yesterday. Musa and Vardy aren't ready to be a partnership and Albrighton should have started. Easy to say in hindsight I know, I can see why he made both decisions but hopefully Okazaki and Albrighton will play next week.

Obviously Huth and Mendy will be back which should help but King playing the role he did was clearly a mistake.

The biggest change though was the style of play - I really hope it wasn't intentional but it was so obvious it's hard to imagine they weren't instructed to play that way. Maybe they were just feeling the pressure and didn't carry out Claud's orders.

It's not time to panic but it's not unreasonable to say that was nothing like the Leicester we saw last season - I don't mean we were just poor, I mean we were unrecognisable and even a couple of changes in personnel can make that difference.

I'm not sure Albrighton should have started, I think Ranieri made the right call with how poor and unfit he looked in pre-season.

Should have started Musa and Okazaki though. But it is easy to say that in hindsight, we weren't to know Vardy was so unlike his usual self.

Can we just have 1 thread for all the Claudio attacking after each game that we lose this season. This is as sad a thread as Grewks CR complaining thread.

We agree! WELL SAID.

One post the "Moaning Minnie's" post where everyone moaning after a player is sold....we loose a game...CR dares to do something different to NP keep them all in one post.

FFS have people really forgotten the Hamilton/Pleat days  and after the League one days?

We don't know how lucky we are to have the

Owners we have

Players we have

Manager we have

We are champions of England we just lost one game!

How many times does the opening game of the season throw up a few random results? All the time!

Because squads are finding fitness and new players are coming in

ENJOY THE RIDE! This is an amazing time to be a Leicester City fan.

I think that he just got the tactics wrong and under estimated Hull. Before the game I would have played Gray instead of Albrighton due to his pace running at Hull players but in hindsight Albrighton would have been more solid

Is this a Leicester City discussion forum? I don't see anyone slagging Ranieri off, I see our transfer policy since Ranieri joined being discussed and the qualities/problems of choosing youth over experience. I don't see any moaning,

You don't see anyone moaning?

Well I'm afraid to say you must have your head stuck up an Ostrich's arse

There has been endless moaning, there always is when we lose, this site can be the very definition of bipolar:thumbup:

Whether it is justified, I seriously doubt it since we seem to have a hangover from last season and have no right to just turn up to win matches.

Hopefully the players learn from this and pull their fingers out.

This Tinkerman shit is becoming as boring as the Special One tedium around Mourinho. Ranieri won't play the same players every week as it seemed to be viewed last season. Huth couldn't play, Okazaki works hard but Musa offered plenty in pre-season, Gray played better than Albrighton last week at Wembley.

Has he returned or did have just pick the team he thought was best from what was available?
