The people who gave voted for gk, lb and no signings needed need their heads looking at. We definitely need signings but we definitely do not need a keeper or a left back. Rb as competition for Simpson, a young centre back, and a centre mid would be lovely in January. If we got 3 top signings in them positions we'll have a great squad. My only other concern is the amount of players that will be away at the AFCON. January could be a tough month for us without the African lads 

 

Rb - fosu mensah (even if just on loan) as he never get's a game under Jose. Or Almamy Toure from Monaco

 

Cb - Jonathan Tah from Leverkusen or Andreas christensen if he's not in contes plans.

Scott Hogan at Brentford is going places, former Stocksbridge and Halifax forward, sound familiar? We've probably progressed too much and are looking at higher profile targets now but could do with a younger forward..

Just had to google him as I had no idea who he was, looks like he has a pretty checkered past for injuries including failing medicals 

172 appearances in 10 years is not great either 

Also according to Wikipedia he's signed to Kuban Krasnodar until 2018

At Dortmund, he couldn't get past Hummels and Subotic, hardly his fault. Tried to revive his career at Schalke and Krasnodar respectively, got injured, failed a medical at Cologne at some point, free agent since the summer (Wiki got it wrong once more).

Clear for me.

Central midfield....a quality playmaker...Silva would have fit that bill lovely. And a younger centre back who can play a little. Again, Keane would have been a good signing.

The bloke sitting next to me last night asked who he should watch out for in the match, and I told him to keep an eye of whether or not he thought Danilo is exactly what we're missing in midfield.

 

For me, this lad is just tailor made for us in tough games. Sit him in front of Morgan and Huth, and you've got an incredibly solid looking back 4.

 

 

I think it would help solve....

 

1) Our lack of physicality at set pieces

2) Our physicality in the middle of the park

3) Our inability to give Mahrez a more 'free' role.

 

 

He also filled in at CB for Porto numerous times last season, so you're killing two birds with one stone (Adding a holding midfielder and cover at center half).
