Was sorry to read this today../.he was one of footballs great characters back when I was very young and very skillfull.

Loved watching him - such talent and such a character in an era of characters.  Hope he hangs in there and they find an answer to his demeaning affliction.

What a sad read that is. Horrible disease and I feel for him and his family. Bowles was a little bit before my time, but I play golf with a guy who was an apprentice at QPR and cleaned his boots. Apparently if Bowles had put as much work and effort into his football as he did studying the form, he could have truly been a world beater.
