Ric Flair Posted 30 September 2005 Posted 30 September 2005 Is anyone else else really looking forward to seeing this lad in the first team? I've kind of forgotten him whilst he's been injured, but his pedigree is exceptional and is regarded as one of the best young defenders in Sweden. The fact that his strongest attributes is his composure and his willingness to pass the ball out of defence even under pressure is music to my flappers. Although I rate Paddy, this could be a perfect opportunity for the Swedish Paddy to come in and boss the sheep shaggers about and keep his place. I even fancy the chap to pop up and score the winner tomorrow. I think (well it's probably hope) that Gerrbrand will bring a calming influence to our team and the ability to pass the ball means it will get Hughes and Williams involved more instead of them looking up at the sky when Dublin sticks another ****er in the mixer. Bring it on Padd'ers.
The People's Hero Posted 30 September 2005 Posted 30 September 2005 Completely agree. We have to pin our hopes on something. COME ON PADDY!

Benji Posted 30 September 2005 Posted 30 September 2005 haha i cant wait til he starts playing played last night in my gerrbrand away top, hopefully he'll score too wooo hope he gets the chance, legend
Scow Posted 30 September 2005 Posted 30 September 2005 I'm not sure he'll start tomorrow as he'll be very short on match fitness - although, Hughes went straight back in to the side after injury, so I wouldn't put it beyond Levein.

Katy Posted 30 September 2005 Posted 30 September 2005 He was looking pretty good v Bury before his untimely injury. I think id welcome him back with open arms right now.

Scow Posted 30 September 2005 Posted 30 September 2005 And put in a man of the match performance. Yep. I just think it could be too early for Gerrbrand though, especially with it being a tough Derby game. This would be Gerrbrand's first experience of Championship football.

Well if de Vries plays then Dublin can't play at the back as it means we've got little pace at the back or upfront and you know the long balls will be out and about. If Elvis and Hume play then we can get away with Dublin at the back but i'd like to see Gerrbrand thrown in, I reckon he's got the minerals.
De Vries The King Posted 30 September 2005 Posted 30 September 2005 I'd really like to see Gerrbrand play at home as many good things have been said about him on this forum and I hope he does get into and settle into the first team alongside Johansson as I don't really rate Paddy. But I'll give my verdict when I see him play when he's fully fit.
