Certain player criticism

Recommended Posts

The likes of Schlupp, Adama Traore and Zaha don't have much of a footballing brain because they've probably relied on their pace/physicality rather than technical ability. It's not at all racist to say that Schlupp doesn't have a footballing brain, anybody that's seen him have the ball with time and space knows that he's not really got much of a clue and to suggest it's racist is a bit silly really.

It's more noticeable with quick players because they get into better positions more often, we notice it more when quick player fluff situations and generally black players tend to be quicker.

A quick search on here for the word 'brain' (ignoring this thread) and these are the results where a player is criticised from just the first four pages.

Schlupp 12 references

"So many times he would pick up the ball from a loose pass and bomb forward only to slow right down as hisbrain had caught up"

"but ultimately not got the footballingbrain to justify a place in the team."

...just missing abrain nevermind a footballbrain .

...nobrain whatsoever, can't shoot, can't dribble.

hen again if Jeff had abrain and end product he would be playing for barcelona.

..But as we all know he lacks a footballbrain and his decision making is poor.

Lcfc offered Schlupp a footballersbrain last season but turned it down.

We can't sit and wait for Jeff to grow abrain

..He hasn't got the concentration or thebrain .

..Schlup nobrain lazy get rid.

...If he had just half a footballingbrain he would be class!

...but no footballingbrain .

Carl Jenkinson 1 reference

..Jenkinson is just awful and is bereft of any footballingbrain .

Simpson 4 references

..Simpson lacks any of that and pace and an attackingbrain , where he will overlap or try to pick a killer pass. Too often or not, he receives the ball and his first thought and action is to launch a hopeful floated ball to no one in particular, and the play breaks down.

..Plus he can actually bomb forward and doesn't get abrain freeze at the half way line like Simpson does.

Watching Chilwell control and pass the ball and put his good technical ability to use makes it even more painful watching Danny Simpson on the other side who becomesbrain dead when he receives the ball and looks bewildered when he reaches the half way line. I wish Chilwell was a right b...

Decent defender but looksbrain dead when gets get the ball. He did put in a few decent crosses in today tbf.

Musa 4 references

...He's got no ability orbrain power at all.

...All in the pace and nothing in the footballbrain whatsoever.

...Musa cant control a football and has no footballingbrain .

...pace yesbrain no.

Amarty 5 references

...Hisbrain and feet are slow to connect at times.

...Amartey will never grow abrain and should get shot quick .

...zero footballingbrain and terrible composure

...Appears to have used the same footballbrain shop as Professor Schlupp!

...just need to find abrain to go with his strength and power!

Mendy 1 reference

mendy reminds me of kante if kante hadbrain damage and still played football that is

Adama Traore 2 references

...All pace with no footballingbrain . Lucky for us.

BTW how bad is Adama Traore. He glides past 3 players and you think "wow this guy looks great" and then his cross ends up in row Z. He's the literal definition of "pace merchant". No brain whatsoever.

Albrighton 1 reference

Decent defender but looksbrain dead when gets get the ball. He did put in a few decent crosses in today tbf.

Drinkwater 1 reference

...Drinkwater showed a little quality but anotherbrain fart with the penalty.

Ranieri 1 reference

...took hisbrain out and replaced it with a dusty little peanut.

Might be coincidence...

Purely coincidental I think.

We all suffer from different types of 'unconscious bias' but I'd like to think the vast majority of posters on here make criticism based solely on footballing ability.

There's many examples over the years of white Leicester players who've suffered loads of stick. Maybe we've just got more black players now than we've had before so it seems disproportionate? I dunno. Weird thread that probably won't last the night imo.

Mate the other day you started a post asking if Musa was a competition winner who brought his kit to the match and got a game.

Was that racist or just overly harsh and ignorant?

Did you read my original post where I openly stated that maybe my criticism of certain players might be (as uncomfortable as I find it) subconsciously racist?

I didn't refer to the Musa post as, at no point in that thread, did I make any mention of intellegence - however that is not to say that you couldn't level that criticism at me.
