Southern Fox Posted 3 September 2004 Posted 3 September 2004 After watching the 3 home games this season, what is worrying is that the team despite big name signings lacks a leader. Nobody to pull the team together and get the boys focused which at the end of the day is a game of football. I never really thought Muzzy contributed much as captain but he did have the respect of the side due to his loyalty and performances which helped him on the pitch. Giving the captaincy to Nikos is a bloody joke. He is not a leader. I dont even think the guy is level headed. He gave nothing in terms of leadership against Brighton. Not once did I hear him call or shout or advise anyone. I was watching the game Saturday just gone, thinking who is going to get this team together again. There were 11 guys wandering around aimlessly (sp.) with no real idea of how to get back into the game. After Saturday's performacne the only leader I could see out there was Danny Tiatto. His hot headed temperament is just what we need, but he doesnt appear to bark orders at anyone to help the bloody team out. nobody did want the responsibility of an embarressing result, because that is what it was. Why cant we keep Keown out there. I am sure we need his leadership. I am sure he could get the team to knuckle down and play as a unit. Until someone grabs the the team by the scruff of neck and starts bollocking a few fellow players, we will continue to drift into what is proving a very disappointing season. Southern
Mad Dog Posted 3 September 2004 Posted 3 September 2004 Keown should be the automatic starting defender alongside Dabizas and should be made permanent captain. It seems Adams is obsessed with playing Heath as much as he is with playing Scowcroft, unfortunately.

I don't think we've had a natural 'Leader' on the pitch since Walshy, Elliotts no Captain. Tiatto has the right attitude in terms of geeing the team up, but sometimes you need to calm the team down (not that Walshy ever did that). Having said all that apart from Walker Tiatto seems to be the only player that could guarantee a place it the team, Well apart from Scowie Tiatto playing in the middle and Captain then
Ric Flair Posted 3 September 2004 Posted 3 September 2004 It's quite obvious that Dabizas was only willing to stay if he could be club captain.
Ricey Posted 3 September 2004 Posted 3 September 2004 Dabizas isn't a good captain, better than bloody Heath though! Keown should be our natural captain but he can't play every game, Tiatto should then take he arm band when Keown is rested.
Mark Posted 3 September 2004 Posted 3 September 2004 Tiatto and Keown should be the only two considered for being captain. If either are not playing then it should be Heath, basically cause he's Leicester through and through, its better than having some nobody as captain (Dabizas )
Scow Posted 3 September 2004 Posted 3 September 2004 Alot of people were saying Dublin before the season started, not after recent performances.....
Guest freund Posted 3 September 2004 Posted 3 September 2004 Alot of people were saying Dublin before the season started, not after recent performances..... 16955 Maybe if he was captain he might buck his ideas up I would go for Tiatto to lead by example

Guest Daniel Posted 5 September 2004 Posted 5 September 2004 Tiatto, would be the best leader by far. Dabizas isnt very good at all if you ask me. Seems to think hes it now though Greece won the championship.
Mark Posted 5 September 2004 Posted 5 September 2004 ...Should read 'he's it now...' 17190 I think he's got the "point" now?

alex Posted 5 September 2004 Posted 5 September 2004 Ok, sorry, I will stop - having a bit of a laugh on a Sunday, no offence meant.
