Lunch In Leicester

Recommended Posts

Can anyone recommend some decent places to eat in Leicester at lunchtime? The likes of Subway and Greggs are always too crowded, so just wondering if anyone has any alternative suggestions they could advise me of?

Browns Deli on St Martins is good and there is a great sandwich shop on Kings Road (by the Council Buildings) which is top.

The Pie Company on Market Place is quality for an unhealthy treat, Jack's Spuds are good too. There are loads of places down Market Street too.

Interesting stuff, I tend to just queue at Subway n Greggs etc. I find M&S sarnies are yummy though!

Where ya working Scowy?

HSBC, Demontfort Street (Near Regent College). I've only got a hours lunch so I just want to get something quick and easy.

Nice work, I'm a Yorkshire bank worker myself, a bit of a shock to the system though all this full time business

Yeah, I'm knackered after this week. Getting up at 6am Monday-Friday will take some getting used to!

It's bit of journey to go in to centre of town and back, so I'd like more. ;)

Seriously, it's quite generous actually - My previous employer would only give me 30 minutes for working an 8 hour shift.
