Danny Simpson says Leicester City are ready to challenge for Europe again next season – if they keep Riyad Mahrez and boss Craig Shakespeare.

Mahrez is such a match winner despite his flaws. I think he'd be hard to replace. And I really hope we sign Sigurdsson or someone similar. Him feeding Vardy, Mahrez, Grey could be devastating.

This is interesting. Not only for the fact that the players still believe in Craig and Mahrez despite the iffy performances in the past few games, but that they are also motivated to qualify again to Europe.

I do hope Danny is serious, and isn't just saying this to get media attention.

A friendly word: I know your intentions are good but you're doing no favours to Mahrez by opening threads about him. It looks like you're still new to this forum.

This thread doesn't just concern Mahrez though? I'm just sharing news concerning the club, I don't see how that can be seen as bad

Also you joined in 2016 so you're not a pioneer of this community by any means ?

Meh ... not worth the bother posting in this... looks like the **** brigade came out in force today for Mahrez's last day ...

It isn't so much that every thread turns into a Mahrez thread.  It's that every thread turns into the same Mahrez thread.

What evidence do you have that he is a 'bad apple'?

He's a popular member of the squad, not to mention the most gifted player we'll ever have play for us.

He's had a crap season, yes, but have a bit more respect for the guy after all he's done for us.

You'll miss him when he's gone.

I agree, yes his work rate ain't great but he is by far our most creative player.

A lot of fans around me giving him stick every time he lost the ball but when Andy King makes a mistake....nothing, personally I would like us to sell him or else he will get the blame for everything next season.
