He has no left foot, so I can see him being figured out very quickly by the opposition if he's playing LW. However at RW, he could be a bit like Lloyd Dyer I suppose... Direct and crossing from the barline. Yeah, agree with that; and if he's on the right he's more likely to cross than cut in and ping one from 30 yards
Gerard Posted 10 July 2017 Posted 10 July 2017 I'm a big fan of the Tottenham formation and have been really impressed with them as they always seem to have more players on the pitch as Dier plays the holding midfielder/third centre back when need role and the full backs play really wide and attack like wingers. It more than likely won't happen but Albrighton and Chilwell could play those full back roles and Iborra the Ereic Dier role so I wouldn't mind seeing this: Vardy Iheanacho Gray/Mahrez/Lawrence Ndidi Drinkwater Iborra Chilwell Gibson Maguire Albrighton Schmeichel The two players behind Vardy playing like an inside forward type role. Not quite central but not wide enough that the full backs are supposed to go past them to offer width in attacking situations. Iborra to mainly hold and become a third centre back when required and Drinky and Ndidi to be the engine room of the side.

'The Eric Dier role' I don't think he's worthy of having that named after him.
