mannyfox98 Posted 8 July 2017 Posted 8 July 2017 I wrote about this on my personal blog today, would really appreciate any Foxes fans giving it a read and letting me know what they think our best line up would be ahead of the new season..
AmarteyAndChill Posted 8 July 2017 Posted 8 July 2017 Schmeichel Simpson Maguire Evans Fuchs Drinky Ndidi Mahrez Iheanacho Albrighton Vardy evans could easily be Huth though if we don't sign another CB
DJ Barry Hammond Posted 8 July 2017 Posted 8 July 2017 Check your transitions between sections. You've provided lots of opinions... but offered little substance to reinforce these. As a piece of writing, it possibly lacks an edge. It's very safe - and doesn't provide much in the way of a conclusion. It might have been better to focus more on THE formation and team you think should be used on the opening day and build argument towards that.
kyleolly Posted 9 July 2017 Posted 9 July 2017 Kasper Simpson Maguire Evans Fuchs Ndidi Drinkwater Iborra Mahrez Vardy Iheanacho

Jimmy_lad999 Posted 9 July 2017 Posted 9 July 2017 Kasper Maguire Morgan Huth Albrighton Chillwell Drinky Ndidi Iborra Vardy Iheanacho This assumes Mahrez goes. If Mahrez still here then would go Kasper Simpson Maguire Huth Fuchs Drinky Ndidi Iborra Marhez Vardy Iheanacho
RODNEY FERNIO Posted 9 July 2017 Posted 9 July 2017 Quite hard this. The only four definite starters I can think of are Kasper, Simpson , Ndidi and Vardy.
sdb Posted 9 July 2017 Posted 9 July 2017 -----------kasper Simpson Maguire Huth Fuchs Gray Drinkwater N'Didi Albrighton ------Ihenacho Vardy is how I see us playing early on (if KI signs) i sense CS is keen for 3-5-2 though, so if we sign our targets maybe: -----------Kasper -----Maguire Huth Gibson Albrighton Iborra N'Didi Fuchs --------mahrez/DD/GSiggy ------Ihenacho Vardy which could be pretty immense if it clicked
Benguin Posted 9 July 2017 Posted 9 July 2017 --------------------------------Kasper----------------------------------------- -----Simpson------Maguire----------Huth----------Chilwell----------- ---Mahrez----------Drinky-------------Ndidi-------------Albrighton------ ---------------------------Iheanacho------------------------------------------- -----------------------------------------Vardy----------------------------------- Zieler/Hamer Morgan Amartey Fuchs Iborra Gray Slimani

I appreciate that feedback, i only intended to just highlight what we'd done in the window, a few potential ins and outs, and try put an XI together, it probably didn't need its own blog post for it
mannyfox98 Posted 9 July 2017 Author Posted 9 July 2017 Thanks for replies, really appreciate it, interesting response, a lot of you seem to not want Morgan at the back. Vardy and Iheanacho up top together seems to be popular

I agree, but if we play 3 at back and have wing backs, then I'm not sure Simpson would play as wing back, Albrighton would play there, he could maybe be one of the CBs but we now have Maguire so got 4 recognised CBs. But yes if we play 4 at back then all 4 of them would be starters.
Fox92 Posted 9 July 2017 Posted 9 July 2017 Why would we buy Ihenacho - a proper striker - and then play him behind Vardy??? They've both got to start up front.

It's his ideal position. Vardy prefers to play on the shoulder whereas Iheanacho drops into the hole to take the ball, making later runs into the box. He's no Okazaki and no number 10, but he's not like Vardy. Like a false number 9.

He hasn't been for Man City. Itching to see him play with Vardy, honestly think they could be brutal to play against. Both so difficult to mark and both are quite happy to run the channels.
AS78UK Posted 9 July 2017 Posted 9 July 2017 Kasper Maguire. Huth. Fuchs Albrighton. Chillwell. Drinkwater. Ndidi. Iborra. Iheanacho Vardy Quite defensive against Arsenal until we unleash Gray or/and Mahrez later in the match and switch to 4-4-2 Kasper Simpson. Maguire. Huth. Chillwell/Fuchs Ndidi. Iborra Mahrez Gray Iheanacho. Vardy

Danno Posted 10 July 2017 Posted 10 July 2017 Schmeichel Simpson maguire evans fuchs iborra ndidi mahrez iheanacho albrighton vardy. Pushing for europe with that. Can't see anyone paying the money for Mahrez anytime soon.
Finnegan Posted 10 July 2017 Posted 10 July 2017 Currently I assume: Simpson, Maguire, Huth, Fuchs Gray, Ndidi, Drinkwater, Albrighton Iheanacho, Vardy I'd hope Simpson, Huth and Gray are improved upon before then, tbh, but not the end of the world if they aren't.
Wdywd Posted 10 July 2017 Posted 10 July 2017 These 3 at the back teams are so uncreative We will never score

If Gray does start, then for me it has to be at RW like you suggested. He has no left foot, so I can see him being figured out very quickly by the opposition if he's playing LW. However at RW, he could be a bit like Lloyd Dyer I suppose... Direct and crossing from the barline.

Full backs get far too much time to recover and predict him because he cuts back in to his right every ****ing time. But I guarantee that's where he starts the season.

Aye I don't think Albrighton & Gray would be a good pair to be honest. Maybe Lawrence is more two footed/all round than Gray and might be a better fit at LW, so Albrighton can play RW. Clutching at straws though. Reality is we need another winger, even if Mahrez stays imo.
