The whole world smiles Posted 12 August 2017 Posted 12 August 2017 I am generally a very positive supporter. In fact I think the word supporter implies that you are supposed to support the players and manager. Also as leicester fans when you consider our place in football and our history it's been an unbelievable few years with very little to be negative about. Although as much as negative supporters irritate me, I do appreciate that it's good to have different views for the sake of the message board. However if people can not focus on the host of positives from last night and are bashing the manager and players already then they are just pricks and it's pointless trying to argue with them.
Kitchandro Posted 12 August 2017 Posted 12 August 2017 I didn't agree with bringing Amartey on at the time - but I'm pretty sure he reversed that when he brough Iheanacho on for Albrighton??? Listen, whether you thought the substitutions were right or wrong, we lost the game because of 2 setpieces we didn't defend properly. The manager hasn't told them to leave 3 men at the back post unmarked, or to be beaten to a header from a corner (something that Martin Tyler took great pleasure in reminding us has been an issue for some time). The fact is, we conceded twice in the first half as well because our defence was all over the place all game. I don't think the substitutions necessarily cost us the game, you just can't defend like that and get away with it.

We briefly looked threatening again, but it was too late then. As for Mahrez... did he have a bad game? He got an assist and put Vardy in on goal and he tracked back, he played okay. I'm not going to worry too much, we did okay against a team who will possibly beat teams like Man U, Man City and Liverpool at home, maybe by more goals. Come alive. Tracked back - did he? And if so, to what effect? He took a corner which Vardy scored from. Other than that he was awful - by a long way, he under performed more than any other player. I expected him to play well as he's looking for a move - I think he's 'gone'. Shakey's mistake big was leaving Mahrez on - ridiculous.

PaulW Posted 12 August 2017 Posted 12 August 2017 Shakey has just come as close ( 7 minutes + added time), or closer to winning away at The Emirates as either Pearson or Claudio..... give the man a break!
