Oh so that's the new addition to the forums this year , instead of shaming the players we're shaming shaky too 

It's ok it's just a bad game , we played well and lost fair and square , because of the bad choices of the manager , we accept it , we deal with it and prepare for the next challenges , at least we're starting the season better than last time 

at least the team doesn't seem tired from the first game

Was always going to be a tall order. I'd rather Shakes goes for it in games. Blaming him is utter stupidity. We gave it a right go and this was a million times better than the Hull debacle.

I believe in Shakey he will do a good job 

For th e club give the man a chance, there will be some fans that use these threads just to slag the players off and the manager. They are not fans imo

Today there was some great things, but how many years has Shaky been coaching at the club and we are still shocking at corners lol! 

A lot of it is frustration because tufts we could have won that! E.g subs and costly errors!

Opinions are fine, that's cool. If you think the manager did alright or we defended well then kudos you. Just make sure the unicorns on your front lawn don't **** mine up. Three quarters of the game we were at it. The last bit, we went full Shakespeare. Naivety at its highest. It hurt, I hope he learns. He'll need to, the corporate machine waits for no man...

Yes we lost but to blame Craig is not on. he made substitutions that he felt fit at the time because he knows more than all of us on here put together.  I actually saw genius in his tactics, but this time didn't pay off.

 

 

 

If Ramsey's shot had been blocked and we went on the break and Iheanacho scored to make it 4-2 Craig would be the hero. Very fine margins.

One game. More positives than negatives. It's one game - away at a very good team who we never beat.

Erm, we were 3-2 up at Arsenal. Giving it a "right go" doesn't get you any points. We'll be playing Hull again soon with that mentality.

Compared to the dead finish to last season and the initially horrific preseason this was a great match.

 

Apart from inability to close down the match, and the dodgy yet understandable (in that I really wanted to see him...) sub, there was little to complain about.

 

Turn off the TV at 75 minutes and it was a classic performance. I don't really feel like complaining about that.

Or if King had come on instead which resulted in us having to sit deeper and deeper and then concede, people would have been saying 'why leave the new 25mill signing on the bench when we needed to relieve pressure?'

 

It's infuriating.

 

The sub might have worked if we hadn't conceded as soon as Kelechi ran onto the pitch. The sub had no bearing on the goal whatsoever, it was a lack of concentration from the players.

Yet again failed? I'm struggling here to think of when CS has failed?

Sadly kneejerk reactions are par for the course on here! I was devastated last night, like most, due to the nature of the defeat.

We lost to a very good side, who really are a bogey side to us, at their home.

The positives were many once you set aside the crushing nature of the defeat.

to true blue really enjoyed the game. arsenal could be champions so could we . and two great subs to bring on for them. was a great first game and we made a fist of it. think shakey made the right subs. but arsenal the have a better bench giroud is a class act as super sub, does it all the time you just cant defend the man. vardy was back to his best ,albrighton too, would have took that moral boosting result and scoring three before kick off.
