Loves2spooge Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 Oh so that's the new addition to the forums this year , instead of shaming the players we're shaming shaky too It's ok it's just a bad game , we played well and lost fair and square , because of the bad choices of the manager , we accept it , we deal with it and prepare for the next challenges , at least we're starting the season better than last time at least the team doesn't seem tired from the first game

Dont think much wrong with subs 3-2 up away from home tried to defend it. Mahrez for me again tried to take on to many players and lost ball a lot. Plenty of positives also though Vardy sharp, keeper another blinder of a game some top draw saves. Matty James massive plus and some of those crosses from albrighton...quality. Its just the start..Hard defeat to take still. keep the faith I'm with you on that
ARM1968 Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 Was always going to be a tall order. I'd rather Shakes goes for it in games. Blaming him is utter stupidity. We gave it a right go and this was a million times better than the Hull debacle.

Should be a more comfortable season than last. i like realistic fans the best I believe in Shakey he will do a good job For th e club give the man a chance, there will be some fans that use these threads just to slag the players off and the manager. They are not fans imo

foxes21 Posted 11 August 2017 Posted 11 August 2017 After tonights performance, I'm more optimistic than ever about the season!! Shakespeare will learn a lot from the subs he made. We have a very bright future ahead of us.

Arsene made good substitutions and changed formation. Shakespeare responded by changing to 451... and then changing back to 4411?
chapero82 Posted 12 August 2017 Posted 12 August 2017 Today there was some great things, but how many years has Shaky been coaching at the club and we are still shocking at corners lol! A lot of it is frustration because tufts we could have won that! E.g subs and costly errors!

Allowing Mahrez to remain on the field whilst playing that badly? Gray should have been on for him a long time before the end. Taking a midfielder off for Nacho, having taken a striker off for Amartey? Just makes no ****ing sense. He made us shut up shop, and yet again it failed. We do not have the quality to absorb pressure indefinitely. In our case, attack is definitely the best form of defence. The buck stops with CS. Had he taken off Mahrez, we wouldn't have the third goal. I was crying for him to sub Mahrez off, but I shut up real quick after Vardy headed it in
Fugue St8 Posted 12 August 2017 Posted 12 August 2017 Opinions are fine, that's cool. If you think the manager did alright or we defended well then kudos you. Just make sure the unicorns on your front lawn don't **** mine up. Three quarters of the game we were at it. The last bit, we went full Shakespeare. Naivety at its highest. It hurt, I hope he learns. He'll need to, the corporate machine waits for no man...
Ian Nacho Posted 12 August 2017 Posted 12 August 2017 I think that's the way some miserable people's brains are programmed. I heard some people moaning outside the ground about the team before a ball had even been kicked in the season!

You are embarrassing some of the "so called" fans on here, especially in the post match thread who are abusing Shaky.... YOU should resign from FT. Yes we lost but to blame Craig is not on. he made substitutions that he felt fit at the time because he knows more than all of us on here put together. I actually saw genius in his tactics, but this time didn't pay off. If Ramsey's shot had been blocked and we went on the break and Iheanacho scored to make it 4-2 Craig would be the hero. Very fine margins.
UpTheLeagueFox Posted 12 August 2017 Posted 12 August 2017 It's not like fans to look for scapegoats is it?! One game. More positives than negatives. It's one game - away at a very good team who we never beat. Still gutted though.

We'll be playing Hull again soon with that mentality.
Foxxed Posted 12 August 2017 Posted 12 August 2017 Compared to the dead finish to last season and the initially horrific preseason this was a great match. Apart from inability to close down the match, and the dodgy yet understandable (in that I really wanted to see him...) sub, there was little to complain about. Turn off the TV at 75 minutes and it was a classic performance. I don't really feel like complaining about that.

Very fine margins. Exactly. Or if King had come on instead which resulted in us having to sit deeper and deeper and then concede, people would have been saying 'why leave the new 25mill signing on the bench when we needed to relieve pressure?' It's infuriating. The sub might have worked if we hadn't conceded as soon as Kelechi ran onto the pitch. The sub had no bearing on the goal whatsoever, it was a lack of concentration from the players.

Chico1958 Posted 12 August 2017 Posted 12 August 2017 Yep the subs were a little strange As he said after the game he also needs to learn So we lost to one of the Teams that'll be there or there abouts......... Lets see where we are 7 games in Then we will see what sought of season we're going to have........... Relax
Bluetintedspecs Posted 12 August 2017 Posted 12 August 2017 Sadly kneejerk reactions are par for the course on here! I was devastated last night, like most, due to the nature of the defeat. We lost to a very good side, who really are a bogey side to us, at their home. The positives were many once you set aside the crushing nature of the defeat.
sk3since03 Posted 12 August 2017 Posted 12 August 2017 Strange substitutions from Shakey Poor refereeing Cost us the match ultimately! Not worried for a second though, the lads were great, a performance to be proud of! Which i always am supporting Leic
