Can only think of Mark Crossley but he was a bit later I reckon. Not sure the City connection though?

His name was Darren Heyes - Signed as a pro and England Schoolboy, played a lot for the reserves. Cloughy never game him a first team start. His Dad was George Heyes No.2 for Gordon Banks in the mid to late 1960s who had previously played for Bolton Wanderers and Swansea.
