3-5-2

I previously thought that the 3-5-2 would not favour us early in the season, but I am now feeling confident it is the way forward.

Chillwell is knocking on the door to become a starter and this will suit him perfectly.

The only downside to this I feel, is it will give Gray even less scope of breaking in. He can be subbed for Mahrez, but is at the stage of his career where he needs to start. In a 4-4-2 he should be ahead of Albrighton based on current form, but would not fit in as a RWB.

We will also need to drop Fuchs, which again based on current form needs to happen and replace with Dragovic.

If we start with 4-4-2 in the next game, I will lose all faith in Shakespeare as a manager.

3-5-2 just seems to suit us so much better- our biggest weakness, midfield creativity, can be bypassed somewhat by a sideways pass to a wingback in acres of space on the touchline. The huge gap and lack of cohesion between midfield and strikers can be bridged by Mahrez (who was outstanding in that role last night, and almost back to his best).

Mahrez in that gap will also relieve the burden on the midfield 2 somewhat, and added defensive numbers will help when the opposition do get past the midfield- Maguire, Morgan and Dragovic are very capable.

Albrighton was excellent at RWB in the great escape, and I think we could get away with playing Slimani up top with Vardy to get on the end of his crosses from deep.

Chilwell just looks a natural LWB- he's been outstanding on the occasions he's played there. He was the best player on the pitch in the second half against Atletico Madrid, and he helped change the tide last night.

It just seems obvious to me- hopefully it does to Shakespeare after last night too.

Your sentiment towards him is very touching, it almost brought a tear to my eye

It's not sentiment. Football is a ruthless business if he gets pushed he gets pushed.

But there is a big difference between talking about his merritt's as a manager(or lack of them) and calling him a pathetic clown a fool and a village idiot.

I wonder what you have done with your life that's so special (besides posting overly negative, boring and vitriolic messages on foxestalk) that makes you think you can talk about a man like Craig Shakespeare in such terms?

Typical from you! no arguements justifying your points, no back and forth. just more inane abuse.

I'll humour you and reply to your point even though you never reply to mine. Shakespeare has played over 500 football league games for WBA, Sheffield Wednesday and Walsall he then went on to become one of the most well respected assistant managers in English and possibly European football.

What have you ever done except masturbate into your socks and consistantly slag of more talented and more successful people than yourself on foxestalk.

In fact you could ask 1000 people who is more of a pathetic clown and village idiot you or Craig Shakespeare and 1000 would say you my old son.
