Leicester's Dry Dock pub earmarked for demolition

Whilst I don’t live in the city anymore this would be a huge loss of what was ... it was always a younger generation ‘friendly’ watering hole .... as for the anti-student crap! Really .... ! Considering they spend more than most other demographic in any City and provide more service staff in those Cities !!!! .... No I’m sorry, this would be a loss and hey let’s all celebrate development of ever more expensive, no character or historically relevant shit-holes  as a result! .... bring it on?

I run a cleaning company that used to clean the Dry Dock. They were forever complaining that it wasn’t clean enough and the toilets stank. The issue wasn’t the cleaning it was the fact they needed a major plumbing overhaul and I always thought demolition wasn’t a bad idea.

Not another block of student flats. There's bloody too many of them in this city now, and they are complete eyesores.

It's such a pretty city, otherwise...

My post was more aimed at a reference to Universities having become big Business rather than seats of learning....;)

Ah, sorry, Norwich. I know what you mean now and totally agree with you.

A 320 space university car park would be replaced with a 550 space multi-storey.

The plans include extra parking but I'm assuming like the current one it's for residents/students only.
