Lester LXXIV Posted 13 October 2005 Posted 13 October 2005 Let team Building Commence.... Next Instalment: Left Back starring Mike (bowlegs) Whitlow
Lester LXXIV Posted 13 October 2005 Author Posted 13 October 2005 I can't believe that Pooleh has NIL votes! I bet Derby fans would already have him as their best ever after his heroics against us! :w00t:
King Kyle lcfc Posted 13 October 2005 Posted 13 October 2005 There was no point in puttin the other names its obvious its out of Banks and shilts
BenFilbert Posted 13 October 2005 Posted 13 October 2005 I've just voted Banks and it's an obvious result so far. Shilton and Banks. But who will win.......
lush Posted 13 October 2005 Posted 13 October 2005 What about paul cooper, russel hoult, carl muggleton and steve hodge. can the poll be changed?
Sir JJ Wilcox Posted 13 October 2005 Posted 13 October 2005 What about paul cooper, russel hoult, carl muggleton and steve hodge. can the poll be changed? I'm sure they would come under anybody else
SamuearlJackson Posted 13 October 2005 Posted 13 October 2005 For all those voting Banks, how many of you have actually seen him play (apart from the '66 final and the amazing save against Pele in '70)? Personally, I only ever do these things based on opinions I have gathered first hand. So for me, the best GK I have ever seen in a LCFC shirt is Flowers. Here's my XI: ................Flowers .............Elliott..Walsh Savage......Lennon.....Guppy ...........Izzet....McAllister .......Smith..Lineker..Heskey Too attacking I know, but these things always are, aren't they?
Sly Posted 13 October 2005 Posted 13 October 2005 Wearn't we promoted to the Premier League with Spider in nets???? Thats got to be worth a vote or two. (Play off final) Everyone remembers him for that WBA game though don't they. Isn't he at AC Milan now?

I saw him play many times so if you want the best team you can forget Flowers. Banks and Shilton are hard to separate but were by a huge distance Leicester's best keepers.
surrifox Posted 13 October 2005 Posted 13 October 2005 I saw him play many times so if you want the best team you can forget Flowers. Banks and Shilton are hard to separate but were by a huge distance Leicester's best keepers. Me too. I'm giving it to Banks on the basis he is likely to be LCFC's one and only World Cup Winner shame that both he and Shilton blotted their copy books in later life
Thracian Posted 13 October 2005 Posted 13 October 2005 Gordon Banks (or Peter Shilton) John Sjoberg, Pontus Kaamark Frank McLintock, Ian King, Colin Appleton; Derek Hogg or Len Glover, Gary Lineker, Emile Heskey/ Frank Worthington or Alan Smith; Davie Gibson, Mike Stringfellow or Ryan Smith (didn't see him but happy to trust RicFlair's judgement) What a side that'd be.
Foxes_Wizard_Striker Posted 13 October 2005 Posted 13 October 2005 Voted for Banks only because He won world cup and lots of peiople rate him but greatest goalkeeper that I actually saw in Leicester colours is Keller
Cobbo Posted 13 October 2005 Posted 13 October 2005 I notice spider now has 2 votes!!! Well how many of our former keepers have been signed by world giants AC Milan? He must be amazing
Thracian Posted 13 October 2005 Posted 13 October 2005 How many remember Spider's bizarre debut at Filbert Street .. and that near post shot that somehow avoided ALL of him.
Lester LXXIV Posted 13 October 2005 Author Posted 13 October 2005 Still pretty close, Shilts and Bankseh!!
