I'll happily "turn on my own kind" (lol) if a bunch of morons use that as one of their criteria for disliking a new manager. Good grief.

The season has fizzled out yes, and that's really disappointing, but if we're not even going to give managers a full season before deciding chopping and changing's the answer then there's something wrong  with our fanbase quite frankly. We'll deserve everything we get.

Why referring to other fans as "morons"? That's a great way of splitting the fanbase from within. To be fair, I gave Bert the "happy clapper" tag, but only after he called me "one of the most negative posters on here", which I found mildly amusing, because I see myself as pragmatic and realistic, observing from afar. I'm not going to applaud a manager just because he's new. I'm patient, but my patience has its limits.

The dullness factor certainly has to do with his lack of English skills, I've heard Puel struggle for words on more than one occasion.

With Ranieri, he had a prolonged PL history and simply had a very different persona, much more lively (and that for his age).

I'd happily give Puel until the end of the season (and beyond that), if he finally played to our players' strengths and abandoned at least a bit of that obsession with possession-based football. One of the criticisms aimed at Puel is that he's changing a system during an ongoing season, and just as much as you can make a case for our counter-attacking style in itself having been sussed out by the opposition, the same could be said about our style of play now. Opposing teams know they can count on us forfeiting first halves, score a goal (or two), then sit back and watch what happens, as we're given x amount of possession, are forced to push forward more actively and have more/most shots on goal, yet usually to no avail.

As it stands, we're looking at 8th to 10 spot, with no intention of challenging Burnley and with this year having been quite a bit of a pain in the arse results-wise and with regards to player performances. Mahrez throwing tantrums in January didn't help, obviously. And when you look at the points total, just like at Southampton in his first year in charge, we're getting closer to 17th spot than we are to 7th if our current slump continues. And that with a squad that at least on paper is more valuable and more talented than the Saints' and one that for most part won us the league two years ago.

But hey, we're (still) 8th. Fantastic.

Exactly the same for me.

Cant even be bothered to go to games with a season ticket as they are so ****ing boring; current manager not doing is any favours in this respect.

The manager doesn't have much to do with it in my eyes.

How do you mean?

The home games are bereft of any attacking intent, and are almost pedestrian due to the manager’s chosen style of play / inability to motivate / selection of players who can’t pass.

Thats aside from the feeling; we’ve won the league, it’ll never happen again, what’s the point etc

It's more this to be honest. We're not exactly watching the worst football we've ever seen (not that you'd know it looking at this place!).
