Annoyingly it feels worse than what I remember of last season. We were shit last season, Ranieri was binned off and Shakey won a load of games in a row and it felt like we were getting somewhere (until everyone got injured and we got battered by Spurs)

This season we start rubbish, got Puel in and won a bunch of games then went rubbish again. It feels like we have a manager who doesn't know his best team and few of the players seem to be giving 100% every game. We'll probably finish 8th or 9th and keep Puel, god knows what next season will be like but I feel like we're just heading for a few years of midtable with no drama and no chance of winning anything

I think I'm still suffering post-Newcastle loss apathy. It feels to me, at this point, as the season is as good as over. Maybe I'll perk up come Saturday but I felt bereft watching the Newcastle game, bereft and numb. It was Stoke, it was Swansea and Bournemouh all over again. And to finish the seasons with a final sense of deja-vu, I think well get stuffed for a cricket score by Spurs... and I effing hate Spurs. Oh woe is me....

Nah, I predict what will happen is we are appalling for the next few matches, then when it comes to Spurs and we have no hope of Europe anymore we will suddenly remember how to play.

It won't be if you bin managers off the second they try and change how you play. We can't play how we did to win the league forever, because a) it had stopped working anyway and was shit to watch and b) it was a once in a lifetime event.

You have to get that right balance, what Puel is doing is completely changing our style, is it really for the better?

This is his football, this is exactly what Southampton fans saw from him, he bored them and now he's boring us, yet you have some fans trying to find reasons of defending it. How can you defend the football we've seen at home recently, it's been fvcking dire, you really want to see that style continue, because believe me it will.

You'll never know until you try, the old style was pretty much sussed out, not sustainable and became a shower of shit when the most important players jumped the ship. Get over it.

And that's exactly where we're heading. Puel or not.

He is trying and look what we're seeing, the exact same football that he bored Southampton fans with.

Take some of our most recent goals for example, most of which came from us being more direct instead, a lofted ball up field, a counter attack or a cross, that's what we're used to seeing. Our general all round play though has been dogshit and that's the biggest problem.

With what we've seen recently you may as well ditch Simpson, Morgan, Chilwell, Albrighton, Ndidi, Gray, Diabate, Okazaki, Iheanacho and Vardy because they can't keep possession well enough or in Vardy's case he's become too much of an isolated figure.

Simpson, Morgan and Okazaki won't be starters next season. They're history.

The rest is comfortable with the ball and can perfectly handle Puel's system. The attacking FBs is that what we really miss. Once we get a real 10 Vardy won't be isolated anymore and we still need an alternative to the latter no matter which system we play.

We became dogshit because Gray and Iborra faded away, forcing us to rely primarily on Mahrez and Vardy, and without attacking FBs and a target man others teams just force us to play wide. Mahrez after january and a couple of good games, went off the boil in the last two, so no magic.

You lot have 0 patience and it is safe to say that the title went straight to the head of lot of you to the point where being 8th (I don't give a damn about how, 8th is 8th) and a couple of boring games are considered a reason enough to sack a manager without even giving him a chance.

It's annoying af seeing the mob reaching for their pitchforks for a guy they never liked in the first place and waiting for the smallest mistake to fall on his back.

It's been a frustrating season more so than anything.  We havent really recovered from the Mahrez saga. We were flying before the Everton game and that game followed by Swansea stalled our progress.

We might have struggled anyway but it might have been a lot different against Stoke and Bournemouth if we had momentum going into those games.

I'm not won over by Claude after some very ropey performances of late but I would give him time to sort things out. His caviar football can't be carried out by some of our Fish and Chip players.  Many who spoke up for Pearson pleaded for patience so Claude is entitled to a transfer window at least.

I'd never be blasé about being in the Premier League. Not after 14 years or so away from it. I'm still looking forward to games and we have decent owners. Coventry and Blackburn would love to have our First World problems!

And who's faults that? Okazaki was doing fantastic at the start of the season, Vardy for example wasn't isolated.

Our performances recently would state otherwise, Ndidi for example has been fantastic in many ways but us fans know his weak part is his passing. Albrighton as well has been fantastic at times but us fans know he likes to be more direct.

We faded away for none of those reasons, we faded away because our football became boring, with or without Iborra and Gray(**** knows why you mentioned him for) the football is far too slow, sideways, sideways and more sideways. We've always relied heavily on Mahrez and Vardy so I don't see your point.

The title didn't go to my head, we fully expected a comedown. The position we are in now is satisfactory for a team like us but the football we are seeing isn't, we expect to see better yet all we're seeing is football capable of putting you to sleep.

And why do you think some fans are reaching for pitchforks? Because we are seeing what Southampton fans warned us about.

It'll be worse than 'meh' if we do a West Brom : Achieve safety, decide we're on the beach, fail to win in the last 6/7 games of the season .....and take that form into the following year.

Impossible? Well - we did precisely that in 2015 - took the form of the amazing 'great escape' into the following season. It is a worrying possibility. Burnley on saturday becomes a massive game even though our chances of finishing seventh are practically nil. COYB!

Maybe it is a hangover from the title winning season but at the moment even after 45 years of being a City fan I have a I don't really care what is happening at the Club at the moment.

This feeling is brought on by rubbish home performances, changing managers, squad rotation and an inability to settle on a side and a style of play. Then I see Morgan will get another year! Hardly an improvement.

Much of what has happened recently has been fantastic, we need to re-engage and rebuild going forward rather letting this just drift in the way they are.

No mate, you aren’t the only one. I still post on FT (frankly to while away some time) and still look out for the results but I don’t give a fig how we do really.

I’m disillusioned by all the Mahrez nonsense, the continued talk about players ‘not wanting to play for the manager’ and the continued clamour for the return of Sir Nigel and the ‘good old days’.

Plus we’ve won the league. For us near 50 lads, it don’t get any better than that. I couldn’t give a monkeys toss if we don’t get into the Europa League.

The biggest disappointment about this season is going out of the FA cup with a whimper against Chelsea. And then reading on here about ‘how we were never gonna beat them anyway’. They are a lacklustre side this season and we had a great chance of finally reaching Wembley in the cup for the first time since Martin. How we went out switched me off even more I’m afraid.

The manager is boring to death, the football is slow and putting the fans to sleep, we go a goal down every game, the most technically gifted player to ever wear the shirt is about to leave.

but its OK!

we are in a transition of losing what got us here and turning into medicore mid table side that turns down the chance of competing in Europe.

clear out

The style of football is making the fans apathetic.

Takes us 10 passes to move the ball past the halfway line when all our success has previously come from being direct and disruptive with a high press.

This is the point. If the owners want this then he needs a summer to get in players that will complement his style. Attacking full backs, for example.

Hear hear. Get rid.

That seems to be the message when you dissect it as well. Morgan, get rid. Simpson, get rid. Albrighton, get rid. King, got rid.

And by get rid we.dont necessarily mean bin them off, but make them lose their place to someone better.

Even mahrez we are saying get rid, albeit for different reasons, so yeah, he's hit the nail on the head.

Keep the manager, and get rid of the rest.

The only one people don't want to get rid of is vardy for obvious reasons but if iheanacho took his place and hit 30 goals next season, I'd be happy to get rid.

GET RID!

LCFC put a fire in my belly. Not completely sure why but probably harks back to those teenage years and a realisation the football world didn't see us in the same way as I did. I wanted respect for our club, a recognition of our status and a media acceptance that we are a big club. Growing up with all those sneery, snidey comments from fake fans, Tigers fans, and even non-football fans fanned the flames... Leicester City ?? They're rubbish, they win nowt, why do you watch them ??. We've probably all heard it and most of the time it was true, although difficult to admit. Losing three FA Cup finals in the sixties (not that I was old enough to be going in those days) was written in bold in the record books (they win nowt) and just increased the pain. The semi's in '74 and '82 continued the trend and not even a few odd seasons in the top flight did much for our clubs image. The O'Neill years, two League Cups and a new stadium stopped the rot for a while and even the administration season showed the football world of the feeling for our club as we still pulled in full houses.... but we still hadn't won one of the biggies (even Cov once won an FA Cup, ffs).

Now we have won something and didn't we shake up the establishment and media :) We've mixed it with Europe's elite and the owners are investing heavily in our stadium and infrastructure. Our stock has never been higher and rising. All of those things that I wanted for our club are happening and any of those old snidey comments can be battered away given the rise of our club. Things have never been better.

A City defeat doesn't quite ruin my weekend like it used to. The family don't have to hide anymore after a loss but that fire still burns. Perhaps no longer raging as it once did but still enough of a flicker to jump out of my seat and punch the air like that teenager whenever we score. The club still hasn't arrived at the place where it belongs.... more trophies required and high league placings, but it's not far away.

The club can never be the same again after being Premier League Champions, Englands finest. Can we, as fans, ever be the same again ?? Of course it's a bit 'meh' for now and those of us that witnessed the Immortals might never get that fire back completely but the club has a way to go. I've not, by a long way, given up on them.

I know it cliche but I can’t agree more.

I hate clubs claiming the “[insert club name] way” and I’m not gonna claim that but this isn’t Leicester.

He’s sucking the life out the club, the players and most importantly, the fans.

I want my club back - you’ve nailed it.

I feel quite disillusioned and very disengaged with my club at the moment.

Same here. This season feels like a disappointment to me because it would have been more than achievable to finish 6th or 7th, considering how so many other clubs have performed.

This is so right, BUT, imagine how many other clubs could and should have won the league when we did.

WE DID.

Let that sink in and think back to bocelli.

That shit really happened. To us.

You've cheered me up.

I agree with many of the meh sentiments

Weve got great owners and I still think potential to be the best of the rest

But Puel is not providing seemingly any fighting spirit and although he has a plan it doesn't seem cohesive

Players are struggling but selection often is awry and subs too late

Also not convinced by Rudkin and co

Just boring boring football
