Far too many comments on here that I am struggling to take seriously.

We are seeing exactly what the Southampton fans warned us about.

Forgive me for stating the bleeding obvious but haven't they been proved about as wrong as possible.

They are getting relegated the season after he took them to 8th and a cup final. That ain't proving anyone right. That's proving that they are a fickle bunch of twats.

If you'd genuinely rather be in the championship playing a less exciting brand of football, then follow them.

Not many threads on their forum saying thank God they got rid of puel.

Seriously, am I missing the point somehow?

The title win and champions league nights have made me want to experience those feelings again...

Some fans seem resigned...as though we should be grateful for the title win and never expect to compete or challenge for anything again

I keep looking for the big red RESET button to take us back to times before we won the Premiership (without losing the trophy). What happened to the urgency we witnessed to save our 2014/15 season? We seem to have lost the fighting spirit, and that's rubbing off onto the supporting fans. Will having a bigger stadium just mean even more despondency and silence and even less apparent effort from the team?

Come on City, please give us something to feel proud about again.

We're somewhat caught in No Man's Land. Which direction are we going? Are we improving? Are we degenerating? It's a slippery slope, coupled with the owners' and the management's own ambitions.

How do you top a Premier League title? And that for a team like Leicester? Personally, everything that I ever dreamt of supporting this club came true under Ranieri. How do you top that and a participation in the Champions League? The excitement has waned for sure, I can't get myself motivated as much as I did when we were still in League One or the Championship. In some ways, it was the struggle to get back to the top flight that made supporting LCFC so great. Regular underachievers, a cup competition team, with no-names in the squad, working hard, battling it out at Filbert Street, making life miserable for the "bigger" teams in the process.

It may sound odd, but I can see us needing another big struggle in order to overcome the current lethargy at the club. The fire and energy from a few years ago (under Pearson) has more or less completely vanished, in some ways because we lack direction and orientation. Again, where do we want to go? What is our ambition now, what is our potential?

Realistically, we'll never be a premium Premier League team with regular Top Six finishes. For that, the competition up top is enormeous. Maybe there'll be another freak season as in 2015/2016, but that'll probably take years, if not decades again. Right now, 7th or 8th spot is all we can aim for, and some European football as a consequence of that.

I think it will take a relegation for us to snap out of this malaise. We’ve experienced the high of all highs, and nothing now really compares- a bit of pain should snap us out of it, but that hopefully won’t happen. Maybe Europe would lift the mood again, but we chucked that away.

The tedious football isn’t helping either, and it’s been years since we’ve had nothing to play for in the last 5 games.

If we were seeing a bit more aggression & attacking intent in our games, the fans might respond. As it is, we got outworked and outplayed by a very average side at the weekend and nobody can be arsed.

There's a world of difference between wanting to experience those things again (we all do) and realising the reality of things though. All this ridiculous OTT negativity any time we don't win is doing us no good. The way we went out of the Cups was really disappointing, but I think two quarter-finals and challenging for Europe, even if we don't get there, represents a decent return for yet another season when we chopped and changed in the managerial department.

Good summary. These are my thoughts as well. I'm looking forward to what the summer and beyond brings us.

Utterly apathetic about the on pitch action at the moment. Watching MOTD last night I switched it off when we came on, barely batted an eyelid when any of the goals went in.

Winning the league has changed it massively but I think we need to shake it up a bit.

Aye.

The only emotion I had when watching us on MOTD was WTF! when we conceded from the corner and how much I appreciated Vardy as he buried yet another smart strike. What a player he’s been for us. A proper Leicester legend.

I think a lot of you have become spoilt mardeh arses! Probably because I don’t get to the games anymore ( last one was in title winning season) , so I’m not getting infected with the moaning at the games. I still get excited and look forward to every game, even friendilies (saddo!).  Still enjoy anything good we do in a game, even if the rest of the game is terrible.  I thought yesterday at times we looked class, and at times technically far superior to “ well organised , hard working Burnley “.  Even the ungracious Dyche begrudgingly said we were good, and skipped over the detail of the game in motd. The Burnley sponsors motm was their keeper.

Just remember how lucky we are to have our owners, and count yer blessings!

It's come long after Saturday afternoon.

Part of me just fancies a break from City until August because of how frustrating it is.

Likewise.

Finish this season. Everyone has a break (though more pain with England). Hopefully the Anti-Puel's will come back a bit more positive and give him some encouragement for the forthcoming season.

Regardless of whether winning the title has turned some people into "spoilt brats" or given us delusions of grandeur, the bottom line is that people are still paying money for season tickets, match tickets etc. here and now, and some, understandably, aren't happy with what they're paying for at present.

Watching football ain't cheap these days so I don't think it's asking too much to expect a bit of passion, urgency, intent and excitement. Football is supposed to be a temporary escape from the drudgery of real life. Watching us under Puel has me hankering for the drudgery of real life. That's what I think some people are annoyed about.

You could forgive the odd dodgy result if we at least had a go, played an entertaining brand of football and it looked like we were going forward as a whole. Personally, I don't think any of the above applies at present.

Fair enough. But it wasn't always this bad. A few months ago we were playing exciting football. I think you've got to give him at least a season.

The worrying thing is i'm not sure I can be excited for next season under him.

That's not gonna happen. If the stubborn morons who always had it in for Pearson never changed their mind despite his success, it's not gonna happen here. Puel is doomed whatever he achieves now sadly.

But whose fault would that be, I wonder?

Some fans even turn on their own kind when defending a new-ish manager with a questionable record who comes across as dull in interviews and whose players have turned into masters of blandness, trying to kill the opposition with x amount of possession and x amount of shots on goal only when they're forced to, otherwise with little to no incentive going forward.

I want him to become a manager we can trust and one who employs a new LCFC style, one that pleases (most of) the fans. But hey, if he could at least give the players a chance to shine in a more attacking role, add a bit more swag to our game and one who rewards good performances with starting XI spots in the past few remaining games this season, that'd be a start.

From what I can tell, we are somewhat regressing. Coupled with letting 7th spot slip away (on purpose?), it makes for a disappointing campaign.

Exactly the same for me.

Cant even be bothered to go to games with a season ticket as they are so ****ing boring; current manager not doing is any favours in this respect.

Correct.

If this type of football continues to be served up, more people will stay away, and the expanding stadium will be a white elephant.

I'll happily "turn on my own kind" (lol) if a bunch of morons use that as one of their criteria for disliking a new manager. Good grief.

The season has fizzled out yes, and that's really disappointing, but if we're not even going to give managers a full season before deciding chopping and changing's the answer then there's something wrong  with our fanbase quite frankly. We'll deserve everything we get.
