At the start of the season, many City fans, including myself & many on Foxestalk were quite happy with a mid table finish predicted.

Now that has happened why are so many moaning?

This is Leicester City we support, get a grip.

It was always going to be like this after we won the Prem. Especially given the way we did it.

What have we got left to wish for? Even if we won it again, it wouldn't be as good. Unless we'd won the Champions League, everything was going to be downhill.

We probably need a few more seasons to collectively recalibrate our expectations.

Shame about the FA Cup this season.

Maybe it is a hangover from the title winning season but at the moment even after 45 years of being a City fan I have a I don't really care what is happening at the Club at the moment.

This feeling is brought on by rubbish home performances, changing managers, squad rotation and an inability to settle on a side and a style of play. Then I see Morgan will get another year! Hardly an improvement.

Much of what has happened recently has been fantastic, we need to re-engage and rebuild going forward rather letting this just drift in the way they are.

Anyone who does recreational drugs will tell you you that after the eurphoric highs, there is a comedown.

We beat Burnley on Saturday and the tide will turn again.

We need to lose some more players from the title era and put it in the past, and into context. I'd have snapped your hand off for this position at most points over the last 4 seasons, obviously with 1 exception.

The excitement will hopefully come after a good summer, and with our old worn out tactics and personnel moved along.

This is the point. If the owners want this then he needs a summer to get in players that will complement his style. Attacking full backs, for example.

I'm not sure it even needs that many changes to accomplish. When you watch the team it's pretty obvious that another ball playing CB with pace, an attacking right back and a 10 who knows how to pass and move, can pass and create and can chip in with goals. I think that would make a massive difference instantly to how he wants to play.

"A new identity" "He's trying to change us for the better".

Absolute bollocks. In Ranieri's second season he tried to change things, yet everyone rightfully got on his back because it wasn't working. This is the same case for Puel, he's trying to change too much, this possession based football isn't our style and probably never will be our style.

If we keep him on then you might as well scrap the majority of our squad, because the majority of our squad do not suit his methods.

You'll never know until you try, the old style was pretty much sussed out, not sustainable and became a shower of shit when the most important players jumped the ship. Get over it.

And that's exactly where we're heading. Puel or not.

If you feel meh then have a look at the state of clubs in the Championship. The likes of Ipswich and Sheffield Wednesday who would give their right arm to have seasons we call boring and meh.

I think the club need to win another trophy  (League Cup or FA Cup) or qualify for Europe again to lift the fanbase.

Objectively, perhaps one shouldn't feel 'meh' and the like. Perhaps there are a myriad of reasons to be joyous. But that's not the point.

You feel as you do, for whatever reason, and that's ok.

I guess the thing is to not let the meh-ness to overly infect your attitude. Of course I'll take where we are with a smile and a thumbs up, even if it does all feel just a wee bit, well, meh.

What do people seriously expect after winning the league?

We weren't going to turn into a regular title contender overnight. We aren't playing well at the minute and I completely understand feeling underwhelmed, but we need some stability.

The owners are continuing to invest with a new training ground and a ground expansion both on the horizon. These are significant long term projects that will help us draw better players long term and some stability on the pitch pushing for Europe on a yearly basis will help this.

What else do people want? Mid table oscurity isn't that exciting but this position would've been a dream a few years ago. I know people want to see progression but it takes time, you need to look at the bigger picture. This is, in no uncertain terms, the golden era of this football club.

The problems started when we lost the balance of being a counter attacking team that played quick football when in possession to a counter attacking team that took it a step further and forgot about the footballing bit. It was like someone came in and said, lets work on booting the ball over the midfield and we'll get the ball up the pitch even quicker.

The problem with winning the league is it raised ambitions. Unfortunately, what has followed (apart from the 2-0 home win v Sevilla) has been a bit of anti-climax. Don't get me wrong I still scream as loud when we scored and still have that bounce in my step when we win. It's just it doesn't feel as exciting when games are approaching.

As the fan, I too feel a bit underwhelmed since the title win. It's a combination of things. From, at times the lacklustre performances to the players attitudes. I was foolish enough to think that after the title win, we would be a bigger draw for elite players around the world and a big enough draw for our stars to want to stay. Unfortunately, on both fronts, we've failed.

I am dreading the summer. Last year it was Drinkwater and Mahrez. The season before that it was Vardy, Mahrez and Kante. I suspect this summer all the attention will be on Ndidi, Maguire and Mahrez. We just cannot seem to progress.  It's getting boring.

I would prefer being 8th in the Premier League than back in the Championship in any capacity but with the backing we have, the immediate shot to star status and the players we have got in some positions, I just thought we'd make the dream run for a bit longer.

The title win feels like the pinnacle of our history. Therefore every thing since than is not as much a buzz as before. If it hadn't occurred, I think I would actually be far more optimistic. My ambitions as a fan have changed, in that previouly, finishing 17th in the Premier was all I wanted. So maybe I need to find solace that the next ambition is achievable but it may just take another 40 odd years.

I am yes but I think it's just because it's been a dull season.

I came back to the area from college in 1991 and started going regularly again.

In chronological order it's pretty much been;

2 Play Off Final Defeats

Play Off Final Win and Promotion

Relegation

Play Off Final Win

3 League Cup Finals

UEFA Cup Games

Relegation

A new stadium

Administration

Promotion

Relegation

A few years of floundering in the Championship

Relegation to League 1

League 1 Championships

Play Off Penalty Heartbreaks at Cardiff and Watford

Sven!!

Championship Win.

"The Great Escape"

PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS

Champions League Quarter Finalists

I think I got everything but you can throw in three players arrested on suspicion of rape, getting kicked out of La Manga for setting off a fire extinguisher, a player hitting another player with a bedroom lamp, several managerial and boardroom changes.

It does feel a bit "Meh" but I think that's due to what I've been through in the past 25-30 years, there's not been many dull years.

No need for drugs, alcohol is more than enough.

I agree with @Livid, it's the fact this has been such a dull season that's making this difficult. Aside from those four wins in a row in Nov/Dec it's been average. Even last season, which for me was an anti-climax, had the Community Shield sacking, five in a row and of course an amazing UCL season.

Before then we've had titles, great escapes, promotions, playoff heartache. How can you not be on the comedown.

There are definitely elements to what people have said. Apathy from people, the lack of atmosphere and just a general comedown from years of most games meaning something. I thought it was just me getting older but while I still want to see my team play, the necessity I feel to go to every away game, even if it's on the TV, is waning. I don't feel like I'm getting anything back from it.

I'm really hoping we can push on, and the start of the season buzz will being it back. Warm match days, new signings, the hope we always carry into a new season. For me it's how quickly we snuff that all out that counts as to whether that meh feeling comes back.

We're a club that have experienced so much in the last 25 years, mostly turmoil but some triumph so stability is going to feel boring. Footballing success is almost always down to long term planning, shrewd recruitment and a decent manager. Ripping everything up every 12 months isn't going to achieve anything, it doesn't sound all that glamorous being steady and gradually improving but that's the reality. It's not as if there's loads of outstanding prospects we're refusing to sign or fantastic managers out of work - we could and should be playing with greater intensity but Puel's had half a season in charge with mixed results, we're never going to progress if we don't give managers a chance to build a team.

I feel meh because our games are putting me to sleep.

Also I expected 7th this season looking at our squad on paper.

So it's all a bit underwhelming

Same here. This season feels like a disappointment to me because it would have been more than achievable to finish 6th or 7th, considering how so many other clubs have performed.

The football is coma-inducing for the most part.

I just know that fans of other clubs reading this will think we're all spoilt brats, and I get it.

I'm really not expecting the club to fight for the league title every season, or even ever again in my lifetime. I'd just like to see some good football, whether that's high-pressing, fast counter-attacking or one-touch passing - I don't care. The thought of watching us try to bore the opposition into submission doesn't really appeal that much.

I expect it might take a while for us all to really get over winning the league. Everything else is small time in comparison (other than a Champions League win), so until there's some real history between here and then, it will be hard to shake the apathy.

Having said that, I think most of us would be pretty much back to normal if we were in a cup final or playing in Europe in the next few years.

"I miss the days where we only complained about boring football in 8th place".

I feel quite meh, depending on the lineups. Some get me excited and some are just boring. However, if I take a step back, we are still in the prem and I spent most of my life wanting to be a solid prem team (obviously never thought winning the league would happen).

So really. I feel quite good when I think about it.
