There is some football manager language on here

Iborra at half back will slot between the two centrebacks to pick up the ball and then move forwards. Like a third centreback that then comes forward with the ball from a deep position

Ihaenacho as a false 9 will drop deep into midfield, and want the ball to feet to attack the box late, more than being an "out and out" striker.

So just a diamond 4-4-2, then?

We've played that before without too much success (barring the 5-3 Utd game), Puts so much pressure on the wing-backs to provide both the attacking width and cover at the back.

I'm not convinced it'd work for us, personally. Not sure what else to suggest though lol

How about....

Kasper

Pereirra (RWB)

Wes

Evans

Maguire

Fuchs (LWB)

Choudhary

Ndidi

Iborra

Vardy

Ulloa

This team would boss set pieces but lacks pace. Also miss out on talented attacking players like Diabate, Gray and Maddison with the formation above.

Really like this 3-5-2 formation. Yes, set-piece goals are very important.

One change I would make - switch Vardy for Demarai Gray (for consistent set-piece delivery).

I'd have Vardy on the bench and only bring him on if we're struggling with about 8 or 9 minutes left

You've missed April Fools Day Tony.

What an awful team that is

It's not that bad...a few changes here and there and that team could compete.

Fuchs is better than Chilwell.

Iborra better than Silva.

Choudhary unproven but showed promise.

Nacho or Shinji may be a better option than Ulloa.

Challenge with a 352 to get the right front 5.

I mean you tell me....who would your midfield 3 and front 2 be???

Fuchs dosent have the legs to play as a wing back for a start.

The creativity in that midfield 3 is 0.

Wes on the outside of a back 3 is a recipe for disaster.

Ulloa isn't premier league quality & Choudhury has played about 3 games.

Fuchs can do a wing back role with enough game time in my view.

Only creative alternative I can think of is Maddison. Silva hasn't shown enough so far. Can't think of anyone else we have to create...

Back 3 wasn't listed in a set order. Could play Simpson in a back 3 instead maybe.

Ulloa has won the prem and scored a few in the prem as well. Agreed there may be better alternatives.

Agreed Choudhary unproven but worth a go if he plays like he did v Arsenal.

It's tough without Riyad and need Albright but not sure where he'd play.

Think this system can work wonders for us if we base our team around Maguire, he's proved he can work in that role in the World Cup so why not for Leicester? I can only see good things for us ...

Do we have the players to play 3 at the back over a 40-plus game season?

Accounting for injuries/suspensions I'd say we need 5 good centre-halves to play this formation in the long term.

We have Maguire, Evans...Morgan...

Other than that you're looking at Benny or Amartey, doesn't inspire confidence

I think we need another CB anyway, bit we'd definitely need one to play 3 at the back
