Leicester City Women cruised to yet another league victory, with four league games played, fifty goals scored and maximum points, City's dominant force once again showed.

City opened the scoring on eight minutes, Rachel Williams crossing in from the bye line for Lianne Norman (pictured right) to fire home, and within a minute an unfortunate own goal after Norman's ferocious shot made it two. The pace of City's pressure was such they scored three times within the next five minutes, Aimee Chivers slotted past the 'keeper for Leicester's third and then turned provider to set up Norman to slide in the fourth and fifth and claim her hat-trick.

With only 22 minutes played, Cath Fox put through a great ball to Chivers who made it six without reply and minutes later Fox and Williams combined well to again set up Chivers who made no mistake in claiming her hat-trick, and with Caz Toone's corner finding the head of Williams City's tally had risen to eight on the half hour.

Although City dominated for much of the game, a couple of loose balls in the midfield gave Woodford the impetous to go forward, but with Rehanne Skinner, Laura Morris and Stacey Agnew at the back putting in timely tackles, Jess Casey in the City goal wasn't troubled.

City continued to attack at pace, another Norman goal was ruled out for offside, DeSilva and Fox both missed the target before Chivers claimed her fourth of the match converting a Toone corner and just on the whistle, Toone herself smashed in City's tenth.

Early into the second half City gave away a dangerous free kick just outside the eighteen yard box, but Woodford failed to hit the target. However, a rare mix up in the City defence allowed Woodford through on 53 minutes and Leicester had conceded their first league goal.

A goalmouth scamble two minutes later at other end saw Chivers hit the back of the net again and with less than an hour played Lou Ward fired home from a super Caz Toone cross.

The last half hour was completely one way traffic, Williams was denied by the cross bar, Ward and Jade Radburn had efforts saved by the Woodford keeper, Fox volleyed inches over after some great play from Skinner and Radburn, but Ward finally found the back of the net on 72 minutes to claim her second.

Radburns corner on 82 minutes was volleyed with precision into the top corner by DeSilva and determined play by Fox set Ward to slot home for her second half hat-trick and just on full time Chivers wrapped up a great display with a scorching strike from 35 yards out to claim the goal of the match and a double hat-trick.

City play host to Solihull Ladies in the First Round Proper of the FA Cup next Sunday.

Squad: Jess Casey, Laura Morris, Rehanne Skinner, Stacey Agnew, Rachel Williams, Leanne DeSilva, Caz Toone, Cath Fox, Lianne Norman, Aimee Chivers, Lou Ward, Aimee Cattel

Maybe Levein should consider playing the Leicester City Ladies team on Sunday :P

It seems the girls are in a false position, have they had to start at the lowest level to work up? They're obviously up against very little competition at the moment. How far off the National League are they??

Not sure. It certainly looks as if they should be there already :)

There only playing against local teams as leicester city Ladies have always done. it will be a massive test against solihull next week as there a team that may be at the same level unlike teams like oadby and woodford united.

You know too much Wilcox
