Robert Huth Retires

Robert Huth for me is a club legend. He may have only been with us for just over 3 years but it's the positive memories that a player leaves you with that earn them the legendary status. Who will forget his physical approach to defending, his goals against Man City and Spurs, his Tweets, his free kick and his pulling of Fellainis hair!

I know there was a thread last summer regarding Andy Kings supposed testimonial year qualification, I've heard no more and presume he isn't having one but at the end of the season I feel it would be the perfect time for an exhibition match to say thanks to Kingy and Huth, farewell to Fuchs, perhaps 2 or 3 others (Shinji, Simpson).

Whatever the format - title winners vs others from Kings era, the comments on  Waghorn / Nugent on here last week and the fact they're all just about able to play and with it not being a World Cup / Euros year makes it possible they can restrain from ****ing off straight after the final whistle on the last day....it feels as good a time as any (other than ground extension opening I suppose) to do it and it might, just might put a smile on faces and r mind us how to enjoy being at a game!

Bringing back Huth & Wasilewski for a proper goodbye and tying it in with Kings years of service, all for charidy, happy days.

Good 2 page article about RH in today’s paper ...  the best bit is right at the end relating to what’s it like knowing you did what you did with Leicester ...     “Most days I wake up smiling” ....

Warms your cockles ! ...    :scarf:
