Guest Markyblue Posted 4 June 2019 Posted 4 June 2019 Np was, is and will always be a massive part of our history . Not my favourite manager but his contribution to this club is legend.
davieG Posted 4 June 2019 Author Posted 4 June 2019 As I've said many times on FT if you don't like or have interest in a topic when it's obvious what it's about why enter it and waste your time commenting and causing arguments. As for the last 2 Pearson threads they're part of an on going OS publication doing editorials on all our previous managers. Pearson was here for two spell so gets two entries.

In all seriousness I don't understand any Leicester fan that doesn't appreciate the job Pearson did for us. Took us from the doldrums and turned us into a club capable of winning the Premier league I haven't said that I don't "appreciate" what he did whilst here but I don't get into a delirious state about one manager who had been at Leicester a relatively short period of time in the context of our 135 year history. Leicester City have had many managers who gained promotion over the years, it could be said that's what there here to do. Some have even taken to Wembley and into Europe so I don't single out one for overwhelming appreciation.

Puel's is going to be fun.
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 5 June 2019 Posted 5 June 2019 Link to an interview with Sky Sports. For me it just gets a bit monotonous. He did a good job, but we've had others. I totally agree. You would think we only ever had a couple of managers. Ranieri, Pearson Shakespear even Puel have all had their part to play in LCFC recently. I pressume we have a much younger fan base to have known some of our older famous and infamous managers from the past, but people fail to post anything about them. Roger's is our man now, let's get behind him.
Nick Posted 21 June 2019 Posted 21 June 2019 Well - The SKY engineer will be here in a couple of hours and may well replace my Sky box. So I’m watching Leics V Man U 21/09/2014.... before it goes for good. Just listening to big Nigeria talk about Cambiasso and watching the whole Sky sports Cambiasso piece. Work will have to wait an hour or two.

But I'll forgive the boys given they (and us) were most likely pretty drunk! We lost 4-1 actually - Ulloa bagged a brace and that kn*b who likes to swan around hotel rooms live on social media got one of the other two. I do wonder, in a parallel universe, what Pearson's reaction to Lingard's latest antics would be were he managing him at present. Even the players managed to blank that one out though - I distinctly remember Gary Taylor Fletcher getting the consolation, which we celebrated like the winning goal. He then scored a few weeks later against Huddersfield, and in a collective lapse of memory Radio Leicester, most of the fans and even Gary himself in his post-match interview were quick to claim it as his first goal for the club.
