Mark Posted 11 September 2004 Posted 11 September 2004 Pressman Makin Keown Dabizas Stewart Harper Williams Nalis Scowcroft Connolly Dublin Subs: Blake, Benjamin, Wilcox, Gemmil, WRIGHT! No Heath, and the pairing in midfield that stood no chance against Millwall 3 sub strikers
TrickyTrev Posted 11 September 2004 Posted 11 September 2004 We have got 6 strikers in the squad for some reason. Surely it ismidfield where we need tomake the changes in most of our matches? I hope the midfield is competitive enough, but I am glad to see that Gujohnsson has been completely dropped aswell as Heath!
Buzzell Posted 11 September 2004 Posted 11 September 2004 About time Wright got on the bench. Its now his time to impress if he comes on. Would love to see him hold down a place in the team!!
Mark Posted 11 September 2004 Author Posted 11 September 2004 Gemmil is a central midfielder? 18235 I know i checked and noticed my mistake  He's an easily forgettable player anyway.
Mad Dog Posted 11 September 2004 Posted 11 September 2004 I like it to be honest. I'd rather Canero at right back & Makin at left with Stewart on the bench instead of Blake, but other than that nice. Glad Heath aint in it.
davieG Posted 11 September 2004 Posted 11 September 2004 I'd rather Canero at right back & Makin at left with Stewart on the bench instead . 18237 Ditto
Mad Dog Posted 11 September 2004 Posted 11 September 2004 well it sounds like the same old shit on the radio, don't think we've managed to make a pass yet. literally.
Mark Posted 11 September 2004 Author Posted 11 September 2004 Harper isnt being given the ball. Its because our style of play revolves around Scowcroft so we've gone from right sided to left sided just cause Scowcrofts moved onto the other side.
Cat Burger Posted 11 September 2004 Posted 11 September 2004 Stewart is Thomas the tank, everytime he gets the ball you know it's going into row Z or into the possession of the opposition.
Mark Posted 11 September 2004 Author Posted 11 September 2004 Stewart is Thomas the tank, everytime he gets the ball you know it's going into row Z or into the possession of the opposition. 18241 He's also up against Rotherham best player by far Chris Sedgwick, he's a great player and too good for Rotherham, so Stewart is obviously going to struggle against him.
Mad Dog Posted 11 September 2004 Posted 11 September 2004 Jesus we're going to lose this aswell. Beaten by Brighton, Rotherham, Millwall & Watford, pathetic.
perthfox Posted 11 September 2004 Posted 11 September 2004 gday from downunder, cant hear the match, but by the comments we are not playing that well what the hell has gone wrong with them
Babylon Posted 11 September 2004 Posted 11 September 2004 Jesus we're going to lose this aswell. Beaten by Brighton, Rotherham, Millwall & Watford, pathetic. 18245 cough cough....pardon!!!! :w00t:
Mad Dog Posted 11 September 2004 Posted 11 September 2004 why can't adams just tell them to stop being twats and play it on the floor down the right? every time its' gone to harpers feet theres been a good cross come in
Ricey Posted 11 September 2004 Posted 11 September 2004 Sounds like we are doing ok, lets just hope we can keep hold of the lead. Another good goal from Lilian aswell apparently.
Cat Burger Posted 11 September 2004 Posted 11 September 2004 Basically Perthfox, the ball is bypassing the midfield and even when it doesn't it seems that Nalis and Williams in the centre don't want to know! plus Scowy hasn't even been mentioned except for when he doesn't get to a header. Doesn't sound promising, but better.
perthfox Posted 11 September 2004 Posted 11 September 2004 thanks for the info, are they still hoofing the ball up field, because that style of football doesnt win games and is so predictable, lets hope we can win this one cmon city
Cat Burger Posted 11 September 2004 Posted 11 September 2004 Yes Dabizas is hoofing it, and also fouling players as usual and having to be rescued.
Babylon Posted 11 September 2004 Posted 11 September 2004 He's moved Harper onto the left? 18254 Nice one micky, make your best player from the first half change position. We need width so he puts him on the left which means he has to come infield. *Shakes Head*
Mark Posted 11 September 2004 Author Posted 11 September 2004 thought harper was a right sided player ? 18256 Think he's back on the right now.
Babylon Posted 11 September 2004 Posted 11 September 2004 Harper sounds quite useful, a bit of skill and pace. Something we lack big time!!!!
