SystonFox Posted 26 October 2005 Posted 26 October 2005 right i see alot of people saying how good we are at away games but the WS lacks atmosphere. what team has brought the best fans to the WS in recent years, and who has had the best home support when you have travelled to the opposition stadium. i would say Sheffield Wednesday have made the most noise this season, they have brought the most fans down so far i believe. i havent been to an awayer this season yet and i didnt get to do any last year so i cant comment.
Libertine Posted 26 October 2005 Posted 26 October 2005 Best that I've seen at the Walkers: Leeds last season, singing nonstop for around minutes. I thought Stoke were quite good last season too considering how many they brought.

The way they played, the fact they made any noise at all was commendable.

When they let those fans out on a Friday afternoon they never stop singing until Monday morning wherever they are.
Shipman Out Posted 26 October 2005 Posted 26 October 2005 our away support used to be loud but not anymore went wolves , hull, derby, cardiff, crewe (which was ok) we are full of people wearing colours, its better than home games but not much lets not kid ourselves our support has gone poor in terms of volume and singing. Dont let people say our away support is good when its clearly NOT. can i point you to Stoke Leeds Man City Portsmouth even Forest they have good away support ours is a family day out
Rugby Fox Posted 26 October 2005 Posted 26 October 2005 Leeds always make alot of noise home and away - shame they can only half fill Elland Rd!
Guest Gist Posted 27 October 2005 Posted 27 October 2005 Id say leeds to lib they sang nearly the whole game and they were losing aswell
john_lcfc Posted 30 October 2005 Posted 30 October 2005 the best fans are west ham leeds man united cardiff and possibly the sheffield clubs at away matched. they all have one thing in common. 80% of there fans stand
The People's Hero Posted 30 October 2005 Posted 30 October 2005 Occasionally we do put on a good show in terms of support away from home but I've noticed it tends to be when we're in the top division, I think that a lot of city fans can't seem to raise their game as it were for opposition perceived to be 'below us'.

Sir JJ Wilcox Posted 30 October 2005 Posted 30 October 2005 No Fnq Man utd at filbo when they relegated us was quite funny were going down in 2 minutes down in 2 minutes
FNQ Posted 30 October 2005 Posted 30 October 2005 No Fnq Man utd at filbo when they relegated us was quite funny were going down in 2 minutes down in 2 minutes You're right. They were exceptional at both. Loved their jig to the PHG when mad frank scored.
WINDOW FITTER (PNE) Posted 30 October 2005 Posted 30 October 2005 When it comes to fans being friendly, I would say both PNE and LCFC are some of the best. Mike
SystonFox Posted 30 October 2005 Author Posted 30 October 2005 friendly wise i'd like to think LCFC have a very good set, being as we are known as a "family club". dont know too many PNE fans but ive never heard bad reports. however there are some LCFC fans who seem to think they are members of "the babysquad" even though they are 15-16. i doubt a football hooligan firm would have a 15 yr old member? never mind ay they are just dillusional simpletons

We all got great and all shook hands outside the stadium berfore and after the game. There were loads of fans mixing in the pub and it was all friendly.
SystonFox Posted 30 October 2005 Author Posted 30 October 2005 thats great to hear then. good on our lads who went up to preston and did our set of fans proud. shame about the game by the sounds of it then? hope we can get something better than a snore draw against plymouth and then maybe do over the saints next weekend. wont get my hopes up too much though.

After meeting LCFC fans yesterday, I deffo want do the same at your place in April.
SystonFox Posted 30 October 2005 Author Posted 30 October 2005 shame they won't let away fans in the local hero. thats where i drink and its the closest watering hole to the ground. there are other places a bit closer to the city centre you could go to though. wonder what the league will be like in april. PNE & City challenging for play offs or just playing for highest position. we shall see.
