Not really made many mistakes imo and has been pretty solid. I've said before that I didn't think he and Barnes worked last season, he kept taking the ball into Barnes area of play. Holding back a bit and I thought Barnes had more room to work in yesterday.
FLAN Posted 22 September 2019 Posted 22 September 2019 I’m still amazed how one footed a top level professional can be. I was amazed he actually made a decent pass with his right yesterday. Can’t remember him ever doing that before
Claridge Posted 22 September 2019 Posted 22 September 2019 Be quite happy to sell him for big bucks and get someone else. Strange how some players who are bang ordinary are seen as better than they are.
TheMightySystem Posted 22 September 2019 Posted 22 September 2019 Think even the players know that running with the ball is one of Chilwells strongest assets. Soyuncu in the second half gestured him to run foward and got quite annoyed when he turned back and passed to Soyuncu, later in the half Soyuncu ended up running foward (not the last minute run, one earlier) to show Chilwell that it is possible. Looking at tunnel cam it seems just before the start of the second half in the tunnel a memeber of the coaching staff was gesturing Chilwell to run more and Rodgers had quite a long conversation with him. Makes me think his confidence with the ball may just be low rather then him being told to stay back.
