Jack1993 Posted 24 December 2019 Posted 24 December 2019 It's probably going to happen soon & I'm wondering what everybody's thoughts are. (Sorry if I jinx it) 1) What on earth do we do when it happens? Party? applause on 9 minutes? 9 minute applause? 90 minute applause? Celebrate the goal and move on? 2) Do you class it as a recognised achievement or just something sensationalised by Sky and The Premier League brand? 3) Where do you think you'd rank it in terms of important Leicester City moments? 4) Would you like to see it live or are you genuinely not bothered about it? I still think that it's absolutely mental that I'm able to write all of this about a Leicester City player and personally I'd rather it be a big moment at a home game & also a big goal by its own merits (Last minute winner etc.) Maybe I'm sensationalising it too, maybe we all are... But it's bloody good innit?
TiffToff88 Posted 24 December 2019 Posted 24 December 2019 1) What on earth do we do when it happens? Party? applause on 9 minutes? 9 minute applause? 90 minute applause? Celebrate the goal and move on? Celebrate the goal like any other 2) Do you class it as a recognised achievement or just something sensationalised by Sky and The Premier League brand? Of course it's a recognizable achievement, it's an exclusive club 3) Where do you think you'd rank it in terms of important Leicester City moments? More of a personal achievement for Vardy than one the club can lay claim to, but the fact that every single one of his Premier League goals will have happened with Leicester makes it a big deal for the club 4) Would you like to see it live or are you genuinely not bothered about it? I'd love to be there but I hope I'm not there for the goal as the next premier league game I can get to is Southampton and I'd like to think he'll get not need Liverpool, West Ham and Newcastle to do it
TheSomersetFox Posted 24 December 2019 Posted 24 December 2019 Can't wait for him to do it but I don't think it'll feel any more special or important than any other goal he's scored.

Guest Manini Posted 24 December 2019 Posted 24 December 2019 9 minutes of “Ooo Jamie Vardy” please. I imagine he’ll get presented with some sort of keep sake from the PL? It’s a recognised achievement in my eyes. If you’d told me at the start of the decade we’d have a player who would score even 50 prem goals, let alone 100 I’d have pissed myself. Cements himself as one of the all time premier league greats, which is where he deserves to be. Sky will probably produce a “100 Club” highlight reel of all his goals too which will be excellent to watch back.
coolhandfox Posted 24 December 2019 Posted 24 December 2019 Massive moment for Vardy and the club. Can only hope its a hat-trick against Liverpool

DennisNedry Posted 24 December 2019 Posted 24 December 2019 https://www.premierleague.com/stats/top/players/goals If you filter by 'All seasons' it shows you the top Premier League scorers of all time. Vardy's currently number 29 on 97 goals. I'd like to think he'd break into the top 20. I'm sure this has been mentioned elsewhere, but he's also our 4th highest goalscorer of all time. He might be able to reach 3rd as well (he's 33 behind Ernie Hine). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Leicester_City_F.C._records_and_statistics#Top_goalscorers
Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 24 December 2019 Posted 24 December 2019 All the more special that he scored his first prem goal at such an old age for a footballer.
