The boy Linacre Posted 11 January 2020 Posted 11 January 2020 We were in the pub b4 Soton, today & some reminiscing was taking place along with discussing missing Burnley away because you would miss your Sunday lunch (we persuaded him otherwise!!!) Anyway parents being away & Vesta Beef Risotto (a particular favourite, & chow mein) were mentioned!! Risotto seemed to be a favourite, there used to be a term (keep it clean now!!) to describe food that you added water, anybody know???😁 Anybody like Vesta Beef Risotto back in the day??

enmac Posted 11 January 2020 Posted 11 January 2020 Liked both but preferred the Chow mein. Used to cook one or the other every Thursday night when I was about 10 years of age. Happy days!
Rob1742 Posted 12 January 2020 Posted 12 January 2020 There was a chicken one, think it was chicken supreme, it was stunning. It had a token green bean in there, the pure token ness meaning it was hunted out from the off. I lived on this ( not very well) and the Bernard Matthews Turkey Roast, but due to cost the BMTR was a rare treat.
