Still quite damning reading for East Midlands if not unsurprising. Would be interested to know the real unemployment figures in each borough. The Nottingham conurbation population is a good 150k larger than Leicester’s.Thats not including their next door neighbour.The whole Leicester is bigger than Nottingham thing is a myth spawn from the crazy way we draw up our administrative borders. Leicester have direct competition from the Leicester Tigers.Even more so when their fortunes pickup and ours nose dive. At least 40% of the City of Leicester’s population does not lend itself to following football. So with all that in mind I think Leicester do well to be about neck and neck with them
