Ash Posted 14 September 2004 Posted 14 September 2004 Micky can't win, if he brought subs on (whoever they are) in the 70th min and we conceeded like tonight, you'd moan at him for changing it. So who do you blame for almost goiving 3 points away? a) the manager B) the players that the manager bought and trains everyday? 19057 Lazyiness from the players

Now we're only 6 points from the top i think. COME ON LEICESTER.
Craig Posted 14 September 2004 Posted 14 September 2004 Well i would of said good atmosphere, some of the best atmosphere ive witnessed at the walkers for a while. Its wierd though because i say that and somebody 100 seats along probably couldnt hear us, shit ground for it i think. 19050 i think it was the best game at the walkers, in terms of tension, i have seen. the atmosphere in the last 5 minutes was surreal. 19053 Thats because everyone couldnt cope with what was happening again and it was mayhem 19054 yeh, thats was my point. It was surreal. Some people shouting/screaming, some singing, some sitting down hoping. The sheffield fans were fantastic, they got them the 2 goals. 19058 Fantastic?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?! They were near silent (apart from the odd song about pressman and his pie eating) till they scored.
davieG Posted 14 September 2004 Posted 14 September 2004 Who else was playing tonight, I must have been at a different game. Mega Atmosphere, game to remember LCFC 3 - Arsenal 3 10/10 This game pffft 2/10. I think you were all so desperate for a win and nervous your confusing that with exciting, incisive, passionate, heart thumping majestic unforgetable football.

Benji Posted 14 September 2004 Posted 14 September 2004 tommy wright was being warmed up when we went 3-0 up but when they scored the first it must of just put micky off bringing him on, for whatever reason onl he knows but to bring on blke was a disgrace, fresh legs, been on 2 minutes, and he didnt even bother closing down kenny!!! if they had scored from that god knows what would have happened to blake on the whole though im delighted, no matter the score, i was bloody entertained for once and was VERY impressed with stewart and wilcox's attitudes! lets have that EVERY game now please!

Wright had been sat down for 10 minutes before Sheff United scored, then it was Blake who was being warmed up. Its a tradegy.
Ash Posted 14 September 2004 Posted 14 September 2004 What did you lot think of Pressman's performance ?
Mad Dog Posted 14 September 2004 Posted 14 September 2004 I thought it was excellent today. To be fair although they came into it, it wasnt really our own fault. They had 0 attacks until they scored a lucky, scabby goal from a long throw, then they scored another very scrappy goal from nothing. Stewart was good! Poor old Connolly, I could of sworn it was him that scored the 3rd goal, damn L1 was in top form today. Great atmosphere. We dont give a shit if you can hear us at the other end of the stadium, it's good for us, we drowned out sheff utd (apart from the last 10 mins when they did their mega song), and the players could definately hear us.
Guest Daniel Posted 14 September 2004 Posted 14 September 2004 Just ignore craig, he must of listened to the game on the radio. Sheffield fans were great.
Guest Daniel Posted 14 September 2004 Posted 14 September 2004 and the players could definately hear us. Which one came and told you that?
Benji Posted 14 September 2004 Posted 14 September 2004 i still cant believe wilcox although a few suicide passes in 2nd half, he was constantly providing himself in the box with runs (and so getting him his goal) and just actually putting in the effort reckon its sunk in that the arrival of harper means scowy on left and they need to prove point? that back inside heel by stewart down the line in 2nd half was magic though, nd the odd shimmy... looked like the player we know he can be!
Ash Posted 14 September 2004 Posted 14 September 2004 ... looked like the player we know he can be! 19074 He only seems to do it when we are clearly winning a game .He done it last season Vs Pompey at home , when we was 3-0 up he started to gain confidence & took players on .Stewart needs his confidence boosting up high , then he could possible be one of the best players we have
Mad Dog Posted 14 September 2004 Posted 14 September 2004 and the players could definately hear us. Which one came and told you that? 19072 Pressman & Keown
Scow Posted 14 September 2004 Posted 14 September 2004 At the end of it all, we got another win - Just. First 70 minutes were great. Played some lovely passing football at times, usually destroyed by someone like Dabizas playing long stupid balls to Connolly, idiot. We just seem so fragile when we concede a goal. If we were going to make a sub, then bring on Tiatto for Williams to stiffen up the midfield. Williams and Nalis are not a combination that works IMO, despite the impressive first half performance. When we're under the cosh, we need some steel, although Nalis tries his best, Williams goes missing. Good goal by Scowy, played much better than against Rotherham. And what happened to Jason Wilcox?!?!?!? He must have taken something......

Although I couldnt hear a word of ur singing, i think its a poorly designed ground for that. I wanna move to L1 next year!
Mad Dog Posted 14 September 2004 Posted 14 September 2004 We can win every game in September. Need a 'farewell' win against Burnley.. I'm off to live in Nottingham on the Sunday, gutted.
Guest Daniel Posted 14 September 2004 Posted 14 September 2004 Glad you posted that picture, its nice.
Guest freund Posted 14 September 2004 Posted 14 September 2004 Does anyone know why Harper wasn't anywhere, and if its an injury will he be out for long? Did anyone else see Keown step (violently) onto a United player, then that player got up and kicked him? Near the end when they had all the pressure.
Scow Posted 14 September 2004 Posted 14 September 2004 Harper was due to play, but suffered an injury in the warm up.
Cobbo Posted 14 September 2004 Posted 14 September 2004 Harper was due to play, but suffered an injury in the warm up. 19096 Or seeing as we won. The smallest change could have changed everything
Guest freund Posted 14 September 2004 Posted 14 September 2004 Harper was due to play, but suffered an injury in the warm up. 19096 I take it it wasn't a serious injury then?

Hullfox Posted 15 September 2004 Posted 15 September 2004 The L1/Kop argument rages on. I thought the Kop were magnificent tonight in that they kept singing when the game wasn't going to plan. Still didn't hear L1 though which is a shame as it obviously stokes up the atmosphere at that end of the ground. Great atmosphere, especially when you consider it was only 2/3rds full.
Foxing_Around Posted 15 September 2004 Posted 15 September 2004 And what happened to Jason Wilcox?!?!?!? He must have taken something...... 19081 Ha ha, we were saying the same thing, I'm sure he was on something! Apart from some sloppy passes, he was awesome, he was all over the park. I have to admit I thought he'd spooned his goal though! I've also got to say well done Jordan Stewart, he's been so frustrating ever since he got his contract, but tonight he was class. Overall well done lads, we deserved that. Oh and BM change the bloody stupid signature pic.
